General Information:
We are developing 2 new titles using the new UDK for PC.Our first title will be a Fantasy FPS that will bring you a world and gameplay like you never experienced in the genre.Our second title is still being carefully planned and worked intensely on.We are looking for young and veteran talent that is dedicated and creative in the process of game development.Demo reels and college background is a great attribute but isn't required.
First Title:Mythical Warcry:Magic & War
We are working on a Epic Fantasy FPS that uses similar mechanics of Star Wars Jedi Academy in terms on fighting(If you never heard or seen the combat mechanics:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqlzjLC_114). Players engage in wars on one single landmass known Pangea where you play as one of 2 civilzations that have been fighting a eternal war since the creation.Players will use all types of magic and fighting styles to combat each other,the environment,and the huge and monstrous beast that ravage and inherit the land.Players play as either The Council,or the Union civilization which are composed of united races. Players also level up to increase stats based on kills and also use items or spells to increase you or your comrades stats. The environment known as Pangea is made of different lands where different races live such as Dark Elves live in a place where the sun doesnt shine and only the moon light guides them while the the Light Elves live in spring like place with cycles similar to ours.The races include:
Red-The Council Blue-Union
• Trolls
• Orcs
• Humans
• Dwarves
• Goblins
• Tauren
• Dark Elves
• Light Elves
• Centaurs
half-man like/half horse
• Fairy
Classes:
• Wizard
• Warrior
• Shaman
• Paladin
• Witch
• Warlock
• Assassin(known as rouge by others)
• Hunter
• Cleric
Compensation:
All team members will recieve pay at the completion of the game plus a percentage of revenue in sales after release.All accepted members will discuss there completion pay private with Hugh before starting on anything.
Positions/Skills Needed:
2 Programmers:Works close with both departments and knowledge of unrealscripting is required and being able to learn new knowledge is a great and needed tool.Working close with others is recommended aswell
2 Animator: Have complete or advanced knowledge on animation and not only animate human characters but creatures and beast such as dragons is needed.Also knowledge of implementing them into the game is needed
1 3d Artist- Handles most asset creation and uses concepts from our 2d artist
1 Texture Artist

WOW THIS LOOKS COOL! i think id like to be an artist for u. im still in highschool though. but i think this is exactly what i want to do when i get older. i want to make video games. so this is good practice. i already replied to another thread but i guess its whoever picks me first :) anyway. im VERY interested. i have very little 3d modeling experience, i know how to draw well, and i work great with others. thanks for the opportunity.

ditto. :P i cant use UDK but i can still do stuff. i have some experience with 3d modeling ive used autoCAD(3yrs) and INVENTOR(1yr). and im an artist. ive already offered my skills to another team but this is back up. so consider me as a sub, if u need

We are looking for Environment Artist/Level Designer who can create dynamic environments that look incredible but are easy to produce and push the limit.

Sure I can,props are things that support the player or environment for example a statue,lightpoles and etc. would be a prop. I dont fully understand your second question but ill try to answer.The environmental artist creates everything on the map this is another name for level designer i would say.But the environment changes constantly depending on what area your working on.An characters will be done by a seperate person aswell. I hope that answers abit of your question

Well in a movie/play etc. a prop can refer to anything in the environment or something that the characters use or interact with while acting.
I asked because I see characters that (in theory) would need to use more then one weapon over the course of their life, and those same weapons would be able to be dropped/traded etc. etc.

i dont want to impose but as specified in the original post on this thread:
"Compensation:

I just wanted to get a confirmation on this (what this tells me is that there is no paying salary until the game completion). I dont want to know any detailed information about that, yes or no would suffice.

Btw, you cannot use ART licensed to other games/comapnies at all, for any porpose, including showing it as example. You could be sued for that. Id remove it if i were in your position. You easily may show one of your ART samples, it will make a stronger case for you.

We are a newly formed indie studio seeking out to become a professional studio.But in professional studios and salaries vary for each position such as a concept artist does get paid the same as a 3d artist because thats preproduction.So we are very open I just know better than to reveal such information openly.That's management 101 if you want such information please follow the instructions in the first post and link some of your work if you have any.Btw recruitment is closing soon still need Texture Artist and several other spots if you think you would still be of help please pm me with your skills,portfolio/work. ^_^

This is not your forum. You do not make the rules here. And you don't need to be a douche here to get attention.
The material in question was presented in a way that would suggest affiliation or ownership. No references to the source or author were provided. Reminding you that is fair enough. its a bit shady to put (paid) in the subject then have it be the same old "when we sell the game you get paid!" because honestly what percentage of teams like this ever see a real payday? its cool if you want to do that, but advertising like its a paying gig is uncalled for. i wish you luck tho watch out with having mythi-anything in your game title mythic entertainment sued microsoft over name missuse when microsoft was doing "mythica" altho i think ea is just about to burry mythic entertainment, so not really much of a big deal.
