When I start the editor my mouse crashes. I can't use the mouse anymore even when I close the editor with alt+F4. I have to log off and back in into Windows to get the mouse back to work.
System:
Windows server 2008 x64
Dual Xeon Quad Core 3.00GHz (8 cores total)
4GB Registered ECC RAM
nVidia Quadro FX 1700 (latest nVidia driver, 191.x)
On an other machine with windows server 2008 x64 it runs perfect.
Anyone any idea what the problem could be? And where can I find the log file?

Try locking your work station while IN the editor. (Windows Key + L), then select your username. See if that unlocks it.

I have the same problem. I'm also using Windows Server 2008 x64.
The editors from UT3 and Gears of War don't have this problem.

Hmm. I sometimes lose my cursor visually, but it still works. I can see buttons and things being highlighted and can click on things. (even if im not really sure what I am going to click on)
Using ctrl and flying in the viewport seems to fix it most of the time. Although in my case when or if I alt-tab, it always comes back. I guess it is not the same issue.

Maybe some more information will help: the mouse stops working when the splash screen says 'Loading...'
All the UPK-files have already been loaded at that point. I guess the 'Loading....' part is, where the editor changes the controls which cause the mouse to freeze...
PS. My connected input peripherals are: Logitech mouse, Logitech trackball, Wacom Graphire 4 tablet and wired Xbox 360 controller

We've seen compatibility problems in the editor with various graphics tablets in the past. Some things you may want to try:
* Updating to the latest available Wacom drivers.
* Under Windows Vista, disabling the built-in Tablet PC features. You can do this by going to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on and off -> Uncheck "Tablet PC Optional Components"

Thanks DarkVeil, it worked.
I couldn't find it under the Windows Features in Windows Server 2008. But I disabled the service in services.msc (Tablet PC Input Service) and now UDK works like a charm!
Thanks again!
