Hi Guys,

I may be interested in either joining, or starting a UDK based project. I have two years commercial experience as an Unreal Engine programmer, and have a fondness for gameplay and technical design, game writing, project architecture, shaders and particle systems.

If you're an existing project, porting to UDK, feel free to contact me regarding the project spec, and rates. If you're someone looking to join a new project, but haven't found anything that takes your fancy, feel free to get in touch and listen to what I have to say for myself.

Bear in mind that I have strong design ideals, and reserve the right to be picky about projects that interest me - I also do this for a living, so unless your project is particularily interesting and achievable, I'll likely not work entirely without compensation.

Thanks for your time,

Luke

Depending on how things go, we could use your expertise on Project Stealth. We've been pushing some heavy new tech in the retail engine (but not making MSUC Phase 4... wtf?), but now with UDK, we expect to be able to do even more cool stuff. Especially on the VFX and lighting.

I'm not sure if we can afford a paid member (yet), but we can always get in contact to discuss some options. press@projectstealthgame.com is my email.

Hey ambershee,

Not sure if you're keen on this but have you looked at gamedev.net? Theres a few UT3 modders who hang out in the IRC chatroom as well.

Hi Jovan, I've browsed the Recruitment boards a fair bit, but have not bothered to post, as there seems to be very little in the way of UDK-related activity there yet. As for IRC, I tend to avoid hanging around and waiting for people to potentially turn up to talk to - if there's anyone in there that may be interested, then do send them on my details, it'd be much appreciated, but I doubt I'll find myself in IRC any time soon.

Hey man don't know if your already in a team, but Im working on a project, (a sidescroller RTS) and really need some help with the programming, I program my self but I just starting with UDK so any help would be great, we have a concept artist, me as a mapper (maybe another) and me as a basic programmer (thats where you come in =D) so please get back to me soonish and we can talk about terms (note we plan to release this game as a retail game with the new UDK contracting thing so of course you will get your cut of any proceeds). Hey ambershee, it looks like your talent is much wanted (and for good reason) but I'll make a pitch anyway.

I'm a level designer at heart, I've been using Source for about 2 - 3 years and Unreal for a year on and off. I'm currently trying to get a project together for a gritty quasi realistic science fiction/survival horror multiplayer FPS. Bit of a mouthful I know, but if you like sci fi, slow zombies, atmospheric/immersive shooters and team based gameplay with elements of the unknown and dynamic objectives this may be for you. Also this isn't Dead Space or Left 4 Dead in space, but it wouldn't hurt to enjoy those games ;)

The project will be starting up over the coming month as I have to get back to my native country first. If you're interested please contact me at: toby_ahearn@hotmail.com

hey, very informal really. im currently working alone and im not to bothered about finding a "team". I could do with someone to give me a hand of course. I think there is a good chance we could make a nice simple yet DEEP game.

Im after making a simple DM style game that takes the bold move in creating new systems not really seen in other fps DM games... mainly more complex movement system and "HP/ARMOR" systems that shy away from what quake and unreal have made the standard.

Basically this would be nothing more then a PoC if it seems to work for us both then we could move it up a level and develop it till its a full product. but for now I just wanna try some stuff out.

anyway let me know if u want more info...
