EDIT - SOLVED
Solution: I solved it by extracting the installation file with 7-zip, I can run the editor just fine. Seems there is something weird in the default installer as I can open the VCRedist manually after extraction and then it works. Get the latest 7-zip build here (http://www.7-zip.org/).
-----------
I'm on Windows XP Pro SP3, I already have .net Framework 3.5 and 4.0 installed and whenever I get to the prerequisites install it says VCRedist3.5 failed to install and stops the whole installation.
Is there a way to skip the prerequisites installs as I already have them?

Try starting the installation with command line argument -SkipNETCheck

Just an idea, if people do have problems then manage to solve them. Leave your problem and edit with your solution added on to the end. Will more than likely help someone in the future :)

I added an extra bold "Solution" up there, it's pretty common people take for granted that the rest in non-bold is the old message. ;)

Why When I'm installing UDK, comes the message "UnSetup has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
And then I'm told to send error report and then the installaion process was terminated..
Please somebody help cz I really want to put my hands on the UDK..

wow thanks a lot man...
You should add that you need the latest 7-zip to do this. I tried what you said before i saw this post and it didn't work. When i saw that it did for you and figured maybe you have a newer 7-zip. Updated and it worked :)

I tried this and it didn't work for me and I cannot get the Prerequisites to install with the April 2010 beta.
