How Many People Play Gears 2 online and How many people play Gears 1 online?

Hello Epic! I was just wondering... How many people play Gears of war 1 online compared to gears 2 online? Does anyone know the answer to this? Please let me know. Thanks!

I don't know the exact numbers but Gears 2 is a lot more popular than Gears 1.

The sequel was made for casuals for sure.I'm pretty sure veteran players adapted though right?I'll play MP mostly for horde because that seems to be the only fun i have.About half the time i play the first game because its still fun after playing it for 2 years.

To be honest, I prefer to get rid of my shotty and only use it as alast resort. The shotgun can be a very easy weapon to counter with the lance. Paying the same game for 2 years, you find ways to counter. My fav: Active lance from the hip, in an open map like gridlock, it should take them every time. Gears 2's shot gun can down you from 20 ft away.

Gow 1 was fun. I could play by myself, dominate, and have a blast. I won't dare play the 2nd one by myself, it is to team oriented. I'll play when I have a team. I hope GOW3 combines more GOW1 stuff into its multiplayer.

I checked this weeks leader boards for G.O.W1, and I think there was around 12,600 people playing this week. It's very dead, but I can't go to gears 2. Its just not my thing. I'm old school :)

That statistic is only for Ranked matches and so does not include people who play Player matches like me. And before someone says it, I am not one of those people who play Player matches for weapon swaps. I turn both weapon swaps and friendly fire off. So why do I not play Ranked matches? Well I like to run through all the maps without having to constantly search for new games. I have a few people on my friends list that'll host Warzone, 5 rounds, no weapon swaps, no friendly fire Player matches with all the maps in it whenever were both play Gears. After 2 or 3 runs of all the maps I'm all played out.

Blud - we usually agree and I like to stay away from politics, especially on a gaming forum, but here it goes:

The housing collapse was caused by a bill that Bill Clinton signed into law to make housing more affordable for everyone. It allowed people with very little money and low paying jobs to buy a house through the banks that they could not afford. Conservatives fought this bill. This caused the economic boom that happened towards the end of his first term (housing explosion, people thought they could buy more than what they could afford). His presidency started as the policies of George Bush Sr. started to positively affect the economy. Funny how you do not hear about all this very much, but look... Hilary is still active... oh and liberals control the news. How about bringing the Fairness doctrine that liberals keep talking about for radio to television? Nah - that is way too far out there.

The truth is Liberals want to tax the heck out of you and then give you stuff for free. This is a twisted form of slavery as it does not encourage one to work harder but to depend more and more on the government. Dependance = control. Conservatives want you to work for your dollar and make a life for yourself. The whole "give a man a fish, teach a man to fish" philosophy seperates the two political thoughts. Lately, people are just too damn lazy to fish though.

There are many people apologizing for putting our current president into office. Fortunately, I do not have to be one of them. The Health Care plan is just off the hook ridiculous. We will be like people in other countries (not to be named - cough, north of us) waiting years for a life saving operation that we never get in time. The bailout of big banks, Wall Street brokers, executives, and traders should not have happened, but they rushed it through saying the world would end (it would not) and in order to pass it they filled it with more pork than I think has ever been pushed through legislation (but Obama promised "No More Pork Barrel politics, right? Wake up call anyone?). Now the government owns a sizable chunk of our major banks. Ford, GM, Chevy buy outs are further examples of where the government is overstepping their bounds by tying themselves to critical parts of our lives. And the worst part is they are having us foot the bill. The health insurance companies will, without doubt, go bankrupt because of the health care plan, health insurance through work will stop (you will still pay the same amount or more it will just be called new taxes), and everyone will be "entitled" to lousy health care for doing nothing. Great for people who refuse to work and pay for their own... really crappy deal for me (pay the same - get worse health care - yeah, not really thrilled) Anybody seeing a similarity to what happened in housing... let's make it to where everyone can get it. This includes people who live off of beer and cigarettes all day while playing Gears (doing nothing else, no job, no contribution to society, and the lack of any sort of a drive to take care of themselves). ;) But you and I will be forced to pay for his doctor bill when he gets lung cancer... really? That's what you want? That's what HE wants!

People need to wake up! We are not entitled to anything. Get an education, get a good job, and take care of yourself and your family. Do not depend on your government to take care of you at the cost of your freedom. Ever seen a case where the government does not make the best decision for you. Imagine dealing with that, and the waiting period, for every aspect of your life. There is plenty more bad stuff going on right now, but this is not the place. It basically comes down to this. Obama keeps putting the government in charge in different aspects of our lives and the collapse played perfectly into this for him. He has a liberal House and Senate and can pretty much force anything through that he wants. He is slowly trying to get us to depend on the government for everything. Again, dependance = control. So we are giving him total control over our lives as we depend more on his policies. It is a fact that the more liberals are in office, the more socialist of a country we become, are we now becoming something worse? Will you recognize the US at the end of four years under Obama? Think he can print me off a birth certificate... just teasing. ;)

While I do not know exactly what their ideals are, I am now very interested in the New American Tea Party, which seems to have the right idea. It is taking out BIG government and giving control back to the people. People like you and me, oh that is what Obama said, but he was not one of us common people. Ever research how he won the Chicago election? Dirty politics indeed! And now he has almost insured our bankruptcy, hyper-inflation, and super high taxes for generations to come in order to save big business and the bad policies of liberals before him. Why don't people get it? Really, lay off Gears for a week and learn what is going on in the world around you.
