View Full Version : cat broke my cursor...noob help

ok my cat walked on my mouse or keyboard and hit a hotkey or something heres the problem
the cursor used to be the standard " + " crosshair in all of my viewports now its becomes the standard windows arrow until i an directly ontop of a brush/mesh making it very difficult to select edit etc...how do i switch it back??

Wow, i never heard of that, the only thing i can suggest is to hit every key on the keyboard until it comes back, but i bet you've already tried that.
I remember those days when I had a cat. A cat typing on a keyboard is pretty bad, but a cat vomiting on a keyboard... priceless.

Try copying the "Savedata, "Published" and "Unpublished" directories and then delete your "My Games" directory on the documents folder. Then enter either the game or editor. A new "My Games" folder is generated. Then put everything back in it's place. I always do that and works for me.
And next time, try caging your cat. I always keep my cats outside. And it sorta helps.

A new brand of keyboard cat I see...
Try copying the "Savedata, "Published" and "Unpublished" directories and then delete your "My Games" directory on the documents folder. Then enter either the game or editor. A new "My Games" folder is generated. Then put everything back in it's place. I always do that and works for me.
It's usually specific ini's in the Config folder. Try deleting the UTEditor.ini file first of all--that file has been the source of at least 80% of the plethora of problems I've had with the editor. (In my experience, that can cover a ton of oddball issues the editor will throw at you)
