Jim Brown (I think that's it) was amazing. He rocked so hard at Gears (seriously, he was a beast in Wingman) and he was a hell of an interesting and funny guy. Best matches of the night were in his lobby. Big shout out to him, more people should have played with him man.

That was the big upside of not playing with Rod, my main goal for the night which I failed, because I got to meet and talk with an awesome guy. He's the Lead Multiplayer Map Designer, and it's interesting to hear his thoughts on the maps. He's worked on almost all the maps, so he's got an incredible amount of talent too. He seems extremely proud of it all as well.

And to Adversity, that shout out was awesome. Thanks.

In fact, the only time that did happen was when Jim Brown did it himself to give us the true multiplayer experience! HAHA! Just goes to show how much respect the community has on Gears compared to games like Halo I guess.

He was EDC1 I believe. EDC3 was Bryan, and then EDC4 was a newer member of the Epic team. Apparently he was an animator but he had no part in Gears 2. He never told us his name, so we speculated it was Cliffy B under a voice modulator to disguise his identity.

I loved the event.

Playing now with friends. I don't know if it was Epic having host or that it is public matches now..but the game is a lot different. Rib shots do nothing in public, but in the Epic private matches it was almost flawless.

It was good fun - I got to play EpicDarkCorner9, 7 and EpicDarkCorner6 (twice) although EDC6 had no mic.

I got pictures of the scoreboards and one brief video of EDC6 playing on Nowhere, but it ends quickly because EDC7 invited me to a game, which I didn't end up getting in :(

It was cool playing with the Devs. I sucked in all my games, but I didn't care because I was too busy chatting lol

I definitely hope events like this become more of a routine thing rather than just the occassional one off.

I propose Dev Day on the last Friday of each month!:D
