Headshotted With A Frag?

I wouldn't have thought it was quite possible until I saw it first hand... but... maybe. I planted someone earlier today with a frag grenade as I had one in my hand and thought it would be funny... They exploded inevitably and I saw the killer with a 'Headshot' thumb as if you'd headshotted someone with a sniper rifle or a torque bow... I thought I just imagined it, but I did it again in a private match against a friend, maybe it's because I planted the frag on the persons head and that blew up first, but nontheless I dont think you should get a headshot with a frag? Should you?

Well in my opinion a 'headshot' suggests it was made by a projectile like an arrow (torque bow) or a sniper or generally a bullet but not a grenade or a flamer :S

A teammate just did that this morning in a game of Guardian. Is something that was added with TU4 or has this always been around?
