good news :) they dropped the price a bit right? when was that btw? Free weekends + cheaper price + better rigs is making actually ut3 improving community wise, now we need leagues, tournaments, etc, but i think im dreaming too high already ;)

Excellent point... I think people severely underestimate the impact this had on the games release... At the time, most peoples computers could not run UT3. I bought a new PC just for this game. Many people could not or did not. I got a Quad Core QX6600 and that was aces back then..just a year later, and now even some of the cheap* prebuilt pc's are sporting a QX9300... and a serious gamer will probably sacrifice elsewhere to get an i7. People replacing pcs, or getting a new one are suddenly able to play. Hooray! And Hooray for UT3 making those numbers.

Cheaper parts are going a long ways these days.:)
A year ago the 8800gt was going for 200-220$ and everyone was shocked at the performance at that price. Now you can get a gts250 for 120$, or a HD4770 for 90$, and both are considerably faster than the 8800gt(4770 when overclocked), unless you are CPU bottle necked. Then it don't matter. lol:D
Same for CPU's, the e-8400 is only around 175$, and the X3 710 is only 110$. A year ago that type of CPU performance would of been easily a 300$ CPU.
Ram same thing, 30$ for 4gb ddr-2 now, a year ago it would of easily been over 100$
These types of price drops may be what turns things around for the PC gaming community. Now that people can game on a 5-600$ rig quite easily, and even less if they are reusing stuff from an old computer.
Now if only we could get the "myth" abolished, about having to have a 2000$ PC to play. Then maybe some of the console crowd might start switching as well.:p I've snagged a few already. lol:D

hey, I was wondering if that mouse has a "tilt" mouse wheel that can be use as buttons? and if the sens button in the very front of the mouse can also be use as a button? By the way, I am assuming the other 2 sens buttons can be use as buttons as well correct? :)

My mouse arrives tomorrow! WOOT!
It doesn't have a tilting mouse wheel. I don't know about using the (+) and (-) buttons as separate buttons... Not sure that'd work. It'd test it for you, but I'd have to install Logitech Setpoint drivers to disable the DPI swapping functionality and I normally just play without Logitech's drivers. Plus, I like the DPI swapping. Sometimes I drop it down for sniping accuracy.
It's a FANTASTIC mouse though. The G5 seems to be a downgrade since it has one-less button than the MX518, moves both DPI buttons below the wheel (Why?!... they put nothing above the wheel..) its not as grippy, and has a higher failure rate. (I read a LOT of Amazon user reviews for a friend recently to figure out his best mouse choice and we finally settled on the MX518 regardless of the newer stuff out).
My MX518 lasted for a good 4-5 years before it finally started dying and I dropped it on the ground many times haha. Don't get sucked in by the DPI hype... 1600 DPI is a friggin' lot of resolution for a mouse and I've never wished it were higher res. However, make sure you have a good mousing surface or it's kind of pointless to have such a good mouse.
I have a custom black Bansheepad. You could kill a guy with it haha! Unfortunately they were only manufactured for 5 years, but I did some searching for my friend and found the Steelpad SX which is basically the same thing, so he's getting that.
Anodized aluminum mousepads are pricey, but I tell you what... My bansheepad looks brand new and I've been using it for about 5 years. Not an exaggeration: it has zero visible wear. Good luck getting results like that with those crappy cheap "metal" pads that show wear within 6 months! I figure spending 50-60 bucks once is better than spending 15 bucks every couple years for the rest of your life.
Anywho, hope that uh... more than answered your question :P
