Natural Inclination

What do you think the average players natural dodge inclination is Right or Left??

For the sake of argument lets say its an open field Warfare of Vctf map and its a close range rocket or flak battle. Whats the average players bias?
Dodge right or dodge left?

Assuming most people are using WASD, it's easier to double tap with your index finger than it is with your ring finger. Therefore, most people are likely to have an inclination to dodge right. That's your left if they're facing you.

i dodge more to the right, been trying to work on going to the left more.

I dodge right way too much, I use the arrow keys for movement and ctrl and NumPadZero for strafing... so I definitely double tap slower w/ my pinky lol... I can't say anything about controllers though... only use them for my oldschool PS2... which I haven't played in a long time :)

I tried to pay attention tonight, and I was suprised that I actually tend to go left... very strange, I would have sworn it was right, but... I have my left hand like I'm giving the finger, palm down, and I usually lead with my ring finger. Who knew? Wah!

I tend to go left twice then back right, but I really have no control over where my character is dodging. On xbox controller the dodging setup is difficult so I'd say its easier to concentrate on fighting than to bother trying to dodge.

ummm for the most part i dodge left now that i think about it... but most ps3 players have horrible aim that i dont need to jump left just strafe lol now its an exception for those that play with mouse on the ps3 then its a left dodge but the mouse users are usually dueling so thats more of depending on where im at on the map and what map... O.o

i move via dodging to my right approximately 55%, versus 45% left. i'm actively workinhg on more forward and backwards dodging atm...

I learned to do it well both ways a long time ago, so I pretty much cycle back and forth although I do default to right dodges. When it's on terrain it depends on the direction of the slope in relation to where I'm going... I can demonstrate this: 2:51 of this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mscu2eAzzx8 I do right dodges for a while but when I reach the part where the hill is about to become an obstruction to my right (3:09), I switch.

I'm not sure.
However, I think I try to do both as many times as possible.
But of course not just left-right-left-right, but more like left-left-right-left-right-right-right-left etc.
To prevent prevision (not always easy to do that^^)

tend to dodge backwards more then anything :p but between left and right, i dodge right.(index finger ftw)

Oddly enough, I do seem to dodge to the right more often than the left.

But I try to mix movement up with a left or some fake dodges once in a while.

funny story:

i would swear loudly every time my character randomly moved to the sides (i didnt know it was the dodge feature) and i would fall off bridges/etc and die

then i found out about dodging
i dodge to the right more because, as other people said, i prefer using my index finger

however, following the results of this poll, i might actually consider going to the left more to confuse people who expect the right

I am right handed, and my natural inclination is to dodge to the right :)

In a fight like you described, players usually dodge in an anti clockwise direction :)

Don't foget the downwards dodge, Simply double tap the crouch key. :rolleyes:

I use a lot of "stutter steps" just strafing around on a small area, which then makes it easier to set up your pinkie finger for that left dodging.

Going backwards and forward is also nice, since you want to be unpredictable.
