Why are mods impossible to install on the PC version of UT3

:mad: Seriously, I always follow the instructions on how to install a UT3 mod and it never appears. Can someone help me with this?

Are you sure you're installing them on "My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3" ?

the zip file you download the mod in usually has the file structure in place on where you are supposed to install everything to. Such as:

open zip/ My Documents/My Games/Unreal Tournament 3/UTGame/Published/CookedPC/CustomMaps

that string my be different depending on what you are installing but most of time you can just follow the folders as they are in the zip.

Many of us use mods all the time, with no problems. Are you playing pc? If you install a mod, and join a server, unless the server is running that mod, you won't be able to use it. Play offline, see if your mod/mut will work then, if so, you're all set. Or join a server running a mod you like, it will dl automatically and you can play it. No need to get it ahead of time. Same with ps3, although ps3 you cant dl a map from a server you are joining, you have to get it ahead of time. PC the map WILL dl from the server. Both systems you can dl the mod/mut as you join the server.
