ok this is an issue i am expieriencing to often
my current win loss ratio is .36 (51 wins 140 losses) while my kill death ratio is 1.51 (2,298 kills 1,526 deaths) and i am usualy on top of my teams leader board (or at least #2) my losses are almost 3 times my wins this is usualy because the teams i play agaist are 3 times better than everyone on my team!

some say its trueskill, but i thought trueskill was supposed to make it fair!

check, my gamertag is IXxSCUDxXI

ive been experiencing this all day. ppl keep saying its the trueskill but i dont believe that. how can a rank 1 be on the same level as some1 rank 10 or higher as exp system has been in for a while and they obviously havent played to rank up? its wierd.

i know what you mean trueskill doesent seem to be working seeing as sometimes teams will have 2 people who have played for a long time and are good and 3 people who are just starting

Just because their rank is high, doesn't mean they are good.

The current ranking system is flawed seeing as how it's not a skill based system, its more of a "i play alot" system.

we arent saying the ranking system is a true ranking system but u will find that most players over rank 30 r pretty decent, at least in my experience and when i get rank 1s in my match they die alot and usually finish last. that sound like trueskill to u?

I agree that the system is flawed in general in the way that it finds teammates.

I've been stuck with a team of 3 rank 1's more times than I can count, and it's retarded.

That sucks, but it happens because the experience system has nothing to do with the matchmaking. Teams are still matched using the Trueskill system that was in place when the game launched. That system is heavily flawed and does a poor job in most cases, because it is based purely on wins and losses and takes no account of individual performance.

Very true.

The only thing i can really complain about, minus the lag issues/lag switchers,is the matchmaking system.

They should implement a new system that judges from something more individual, like kill death or even APPG(Average Points Per Game).

But I suppose only time will tell.

yeah i agree this happens a lot to me, maybe they'll fix it in tu4 im currently rank 39, but it must suck for the 1 ranks matching up with high ranks all the time

I have to agree. My k/d is above 2.0 for all playlists, yet for EXECUTION, i have like 5 more wins than loses. wtf? out of about 80 matches execution, thats when you know that the matchmaking system stinks. Im definitely doing MY bit for the team, and all the buggers do is steal my kills then get merked themselves, and we lose. -.-. Depressingly common, and i dont believe its my gameplay at fault.

I love it when its me and 4 level 10-20s against a team of 40+ players... so... fair! and quite common too! hooray!

Dude... thats kinda synonymous.

If you play a lot... you WILL be good. Sure, some people who play a lot will still suck, but most will be very good, and as they have more experience of the game than you, thats an advantage for them in itself.

i think what is going on is the fact that the system could put a level 40 from japan on your team of 30+ or someone from the same continent who is a level 1.

it seems to be consistent that i am the best on my team and im not even very good

Well I don't know about you, guys, but even though I'm medium-skilled player, I win like 85% of the games I play. Right now I'm talking about Annex. I don't play other gametypes, because they suck imo. Annex is the only gametype requiring some teamwork, and even though I play agains much better players than me (skyhight k/d ratio), we win, because I often find these players just running around, trying to get some kills, set some nade traps, get better weapons. It looks like they don't get the goal of Annex and that's why they lose.

People really think these systems are perfect? Like it or not but just because the trueskill has you at the same level as another person does not mean you two are the same player.

There are a lot of players in the NBA, which is the top level of basketball, however some are much better than others. Rules apply here.

Trueskill works as well as it can, but it cannot account for anything more than stats of some type.

i have logged about 70 days of play time in GoW2...that's a lot. And yet I still find myself in matches with people who have under 10 matches played. I can't explain it, and it's frustrating. Not just when they're on my team but when they're on the other team as well. I want to have a good competitive match. I mean...crushing people who don't know how to play is more fun than getting crushed because your teammates have no experience but still it's not what I'm looking for.

I've noticed this a lot in the warzone playlist...WAY more than any other list. I don't know why, it's just what I've seen. I even complained about it in a thread a long time ago....annnnd got a warning from Joe Graf...oops.

Still though, I'm hoping for a better system in GoW3...I know it can't be perfect and there will be times when the teams are just simply unfair, but I think it happens too often now. And no matter how balanced the teams are, someone like me with tons of experience (like I said 70 days) and great numbers (my warzone K/D is 1.8 and I win twice as often as I lose in every game type) should NEVER be paired with someone who has fewer than 10 matches played.

I've just started playing GoW, only a couple of matches on social and ranked so far, and I wind up playing against guys who are far more skilled than I am (OK, that's not saying much) and of course I get knocked out early in the round. As far as I can tell, the only real way to build your skills and experience is in live play, but that' pretty much not going to happen with this arrangement. Any suggestions on how to improve? I don't want to be a NOOB forever.
