Best map of gears 2 and why

Personally my favorite map in gears 2 is ruins because i love how it is symmetrical and the weapons on the map are perfect not to many power weapons and it just plays right. ;)

id have to say either ruins, blood drive, jacinto(overplayed), or maybe courtyard from the snowblind maps

I don't play MP a lot i'm a level 19 so yeah....maybe the one that isn't so bad is maybe security not a lot of power weapons

blood drive for normal maps cos there are hardly any power weapons and both teams hav got to come to get the power weapon in the middle.

gold rush for combustibles as u can either go upstairs and fight ppl off for the torque/snip or stay downstairs and get some nades to kill ppl

and underhill for snowblind cos i like mantlin over cover to get the torque/snipe and waitin for other ppl to get it so i can shottie them.

Ruins is a lot better since the smokes changed, but it's a still a bit wanky on the frag spawns.
The map is just too narrow in places for them.

You just listed my favourite maps.

Imo, Ruins is best for execution/warzone, Jacinto is best for Annex and blood drive is best for guardian/submission.

Gold Rush is a best all rounder

My personal favourite is Pavilion, what a great map that is. If only that stupid Mulcher was a Torque ..

My faves are Blood drive, Security, Ruins, and Pavilion. They are just really good levels that don't have many power weapons, so it's more about skill. I don't think the torque bow in Pavilion would make much sense, whoever has the Morter already controls the map.

Gold Rush for me, and purely aesthetic reasons really.

I feel River is almost perfectly balanced as well, but I play there so often that its appeal is fading for me.

personally my feeling on river is that the sniper should never change, as the tork bow in the rounds when it spawns kind of unbalances the map as you have such a clear view of the other team.
Pavilion im a fan of but i don't like people when they camp at spawn waiting for grenades to respawn. normally on this map i go to the boomshot for a shotty battle which normally occurs up there.

Combustible: Fuel station, because i just think its a fun map, if there were player matches i would swap the weapons though.

I love Ruins the best, but I voted for avalanche because it is a lot harder to grab grenades and camp somewhere on the map like most of the other maps.

Fave: Security-perfect size, lazers great idea (although id still be happy without them)
Least Fave: Gridlock-horrible size, rushing for torque/sniper is stupid, and someone put the friggn boomshot in that little rooms upstairs!!!

Blood drive is my favorite. Pavilion is my least favorite. I hate when a team of noobs camps inside spawn with nades and doesn't come out. It makes the game take way too long. We end up raping them anyway but it just takes too long.

Ruins, Blood Drive, Underhill, Fuel Station, Fuel Depot - all great maps.

Only two maps I don't like are Courtyard and Pavillion.

courtyard cos the look is awesome, its open and a good weapon balance. at least i think so.

My vote goes to River. River is original, open, relatively balanced, and really good for Submission.
