Natives...... or not?

Are the locus natives? Or are they aliens of the planet? I heard people saying aliens, aliens, aliens, blah blah blah, since they came up from the ground, I assume they are natives, anyone have any thought about this? :p

What are they from hell I can't think of anything besides that, I do remember on that one article umm Destroyed Beauty the Brumak was some kind of gentic creature like the locust bred with a native ape to make it or something and maybe the locust are some kind of preverted version of humans

Cliffy related them to the C.H.U.D. so the Locust are probably similar (but less corny) in that they are mutated people. Perhaps Imulsion has some chilling side effects.

maybe the locusts are humans...but there was a nuclear weapon used and they were mutated, made their homes underground becuase they were ashamed of their looks/features and have emerged to extract their revenge on the humans.

I think that they are a race of engineered warrior monsters originally intended to fight in the pendulum wars over imlusion. Perhaps they are an experiment gone wrong. Note the similar features of various monsters. (The Corpser head looks like that of the Brumak but modified to a giant arachnid body) Also, they just pop up from the ground with guns and some sort of tactical coordination; especially since they all out on emergence day. Maybe we experimented mutating humans and then we taught them how to fight? Also, maybe it's just coincidental, but the bi-pedal drones seem a little too human like compared to the other engineered monsters to come from any other species except humans.

Heh, we basically said the same stuff. Also, you have to look they the weapons they sport. They seem to be beefed up versions of human weaponry. They seem just to be modified to be used by larger stronger beings.
