Lancer in multiplayer?

What do people have against it? I've been called repeatedly a lancer noob by the scraps of the GoW community because I refuse to use the shotgun in a mid-range encounter (50-or-so feet) and am not experienced with the sniper. Seriously, what is so horrible about not using sniper/shotgun/bow?

people are always calling me a noob because i use the chainsaw alot.... well i think there the noob because they're the ones that let me get close enough to chainsaw them in the face. i dont think it matters what weapon you use each weapon is in the game for a reason so stop complaining already:eek:

exactly.. it's all part of the game, so what? Don't blame the player, blame the game. I got kicked yesterday for using the boomer on the Host. After rejoinen he said it's a noobweapon.. and on top of that he (the host) used the sniper all the time.

Different players, different methods to kill, different weapons. I hate snipers that pass all the game hidden, because they only want to kill, not to play (i think kill dont must be the final objetive of the game), and many times you even dont know they where aiming you... i cant see the fun of that. The same as who wait near spawnpoint to kill all who is spawned ... all of that break the spirit of the game but its a thing of acctitude of the players, not of the weapons itself.

I preffer a hard gunfire fight, even a fast approach with the shotgun, but not the one-lethal-shoot type of game. The best one was in one war zone , maybe in warmachine... we have to kill the others hitting them because all of us have expend all the ammo avalaible, even the pistol ones, after a 7-10 minutes continued gunfire... with only 2 or 3 KIA until the final melle masive action. that was a great battle, like in the single player game (and i finally got killed, i dont tell because i survived that!)

The worst thing its the differences in ping, especially with the host... its something stupid look how you shoot directly on the head 5 times to a host and know he could be in Finland at the same time looking how you shoot the air... you have to predict where he is going to move and shoot at a empty space to hurt him. its frustating, but an art too... LOL

but indeed, the noobest player is who call the others noobs because is killed or the others dont play the same way and use the saw... if you dont like the server, and like a sniper battle or a boomshot battle or what else, go out of the server and over. If somebody tell you noob, to stupid words, deaf ears.

youre retard... if u get in a fair fight with a guy youre gonna go get a gun or a knife and rape him ? if so u should be killed upon sight, people who think like that are ***gets... there are unbalanced and overpowered weaposn that do not require skill, not using them contributes in making the game more fair, the lancer isnt unbalanced in gears 1, in gears 2 it is tho, gears 1 is much more balanced than gears 2 but the HoD and Boom still need nerfing, tagging and bashing too

nope. he's not a retard. i haven't played gears multiplayer (only co-op, not a fan of vs shooter games) but if it's in the game, use it. simple as that. why the hell should it be unfair using the chainsaw? u can use it as well so it's fair. and if u don't - your problem. if you let them get close enough it's your fault. always funny hearing "elite" or "pros" claiming about "noobs". cuz they are the real "noobs" or also called "scrubs". if you limit yourself by saying "i'm not using the chainsaw it's unfair" you're just a scrub and don't know about high level gameplay. "skill" is required to avoid this techniques and not to get killed or find out your enemys tactics/patterns to get advantage over your enemy.
