I just cooked out a map for PS3, it shows up in game but refuses to start the game. You hit start game and nothing in fact you can keep telling it to start with nothing happening.
My question is this, does the new 2.0 patch stop the ps3 from using maps until it is updated? If so does anyone know when the 2.0 patch will hit the PS3?

I'd say it would prevent PS3 users.
And Epic would be the ones to ask, although I think I read about 2 weeks. For certification or somesuch.

Are you certain that your map names in your ini file match your map file name?
I was encountering the same problem, and thought it was the patch, but it was just because I had some names slightly wrong. Since I changed those, I was able to run a map cooked with patch 2.0, on a PS3 running the old 1.2 version.
... I think the PS3 patch is out but only for PAL, not US.

I just thought of this, does the PS3 version of UT3 support SpeedTree? Because I use speedtree to make foliage because the PC version reads speedtree in its native format.

Yes it does (well, having them in the map makes no difference). Some CBP maps have speed trees and they all run on PS3.

The splitscreen and trophy stuff has been released as a separate patch while the rest of the content goes through Sony's approval system. I don't have a PS3 so I don't know what they're calling this partial patch but it's not true 2.0 yet.
Hopefully Epic will update the UDN page about PS3 development (and the script source download) when the full patch is out.

I am in NZ so got the patch last night - it is full patch 2.0 AFAIK, so it contains the new menu and all that, they just haven't released the "Titan Expansion" yet - all the new content.
