If Epic Games hasn't noticed that halo is so big is because they keep the same game play (no slowing down shoots and stupid stuff) but they just update the graphics and put new maps on it and update the characters, but epic games make a completely different game by slowing down everything and add a bunch of random stuff that we didn't need. So for gow3 can u bring back gow1 with new graphics and new maps because gow1 is 123401424x times better then gow2.

I agree with you man. For me GoW 1 is just a whole lot funner. GoW 1 took individual skill, you had to be quick on your fingers to be good, and have alot of practice. GoW 2 doesn't have that. But people get tired of threads like this and it is not really helping our cause, its actually hurting it. When people think of GoW 1 players like us they think of unintelligent Neanderthals that can only ***** about GoW 2. Gears 1 did take alot of skill.

Try going a whole match, with the host on your team, getting under 10 actives with the shotty, lancer and sniper. (Torque bow is a different story).

Bring Back GoW1 gameplay.

True Gears of War 1 is twice the Gears of War 2 is. Their was actual skill involved, not just people running around trying to get the first melee so they get their cheap little 2-peice kill. what's strategic about running around trying to melee every1 in sight?...if they wanted a cover based shooter, why did they make the melee stronger than then most of the guns???? isnt that a little strange? That's just an opinion of a die-hard gears player!!

What you guys are forgetting is that Gears and Halo are two different games all together. Gears you are suppose to take cover, thats why it is in 3rd person. Halo you run around and shoot things up. In gears 1, everyone was just rushing out with shot guns and not really taking so much cover at all. because you could just rush in with out taking too much damage. They put the slow down thing so you don't rush in like a gladiator with roid rage.
True the 2 piece do get old after a while but to counter the 2 piece all together is don't get close to the person to begin with. In gears 2 you have to use your head and team work alot more than in gears 1.

The shotgun sucked balls in Gears one. This is Gears of War, not Shotgun Fest XXIVII. Whats worse is when shotgun noobs whine after getting chainsawed in Gears 1, calling ME the noob. Also, Gears 2 DID have some great new features. Chainsaw duels are badass and help you avoid chainsaw related deaths. Your squadmates actually revive you now, making them more useful then the ham sandwhichs they used to be. And my favorite addition, MP bots, now we have not only Horde mode, but something to play against when the lag gets you down.

I think GOW2 was different for trial and error purposes they see what they have done in GOW1 now a lot has changed in GOW2 so combining what EPIC have learned from both of this.. GOW should be something to look forward to

GOW 1 was just all day shotty battles and no type of tactics or strategies though..I don't mind the bullets stopping you as you run on GOW 2.. I Just hate the Random Host..The Standby's..The Worse Lag ever..The Bridge Hosters..The Vacuum Chainsaws and everyone whos addicted to the 2 piece..
Its Ridiculous and all these flaws make the online experience on GOW 2 Suck and im seriously thinking bout selling this game because i played GOW 1 Constantly for 2 years straight and didn't have any problems with battles online..I play this and theres nothing but flaws.. the Gameplay all together for GOW 2 is good and i like the diversity how everyone doesnt just use shotty all day but all these flaws aggrivate me and it takes at least a HOUR for me to find a game sometimes.. the other day i played GOW 1 again and had more fun than i did on GOW 2..
I hope the TU3 fixes all of the bull..

I personally can play two for longer than one at this point. theres more diversity in the gameplay. every life i play in 1 starts out with me banging left on the dpad, popshots at opponents if thier over 10ft away and when they close in on me, i switch to blindfires...all the while racing everyone on the map to the sniper. Don't get me wrong, I love gears one to this day, and I still play it regularly. I also hate transitionoing from 1 to 2, but that first time i get 2pieced usually is enough to "switch gears" B) har har har. stoppingpower with the hammerburst is usually a good way to deal with constant chainsawers/2piecers. I just wish i could play wingman with a bud and not get standby'd on... anyways idk if I have a favorite :/ but i have a feeling alot of gears2 only guys will be in for a suprise when tu3 drops (i hope lol) I love you epic, thanks for all the hard work. Sometimes I don't think alot of people realize what you do to really make everyone happy :/. Im enjoying the envestment I've made In both of these titles.

2 peice is a big part of Gears 1 too. Gears 2 is an upgrade over the original, simply because they slowed the shotgun down. No active snipers thank god. Thats what I hated in gears 1, get shot in the big toe with an active and you go down. Gears 2 throws in the meatshield, which is good in heated battles. SMOKES are the worst thing ever, nade planting is so lame. I love both of em dont get me wrong.

Not me im not a shotty fan But Lancer, Magnum, & whatever else i use. Shotgun is just too easy to kill with. No challenge mostly every game that has a Shotgun in it is like 1 shot instant kill, and that is just no fun. I know if your trying to get an Acheivment on GoW 1 for it i understand having to use it. But use some skill without the shotgun. All the time shotgun users dont have skill so they looks for a quick kill. Kinda like the AWP in CounterStrike & Blackshot. I know i probaly got off of the topic but a shotty in Campaign is fun ^_^ blow apart locusts & Theron Guards. But they shouldve kept everythign original on GoW1 & just update everything else in maps models etc. in GOW2 well thats all i have to say.

The only things really wrong with gears of war 2 is the "people" who play the game not really how they made it. However there is flaws such as the smokes, chainsaw, and lack of player matches, but the game still is good for hardcore gamers. Like in clan matches chainsaws are taken out as well as most other stupid weapons, and people two-piece less. A hardcore gamer can still own a casual gamer any day and gears of war 2 does still take a lot of skill, but more team skill which is even harder to find than individual skill, because you also have to know about when to pick up your teammates, warning them when you plant smokes or inks somewhere, and things like that. Also about the shotgun it does shoot slower, but it also shoots 8 pellets now which mostly balances it out. It's not as if anyone has an unfair advantage so either go play GOW1 or hope they fix some things in the next TU, and for people to complain about GOW2 as much as they do, and then say that more people play GOW 2 so that's why they do, then that proves there's more casual gamers than hardcore gamers so they try to please the majority.

Well I consider myself a GoW1 Vet and i will admit theres some things i miss from Gears1 but you have to admit it was a shotgun fest. Also i don't miss getting active down by the snipe i rarely got headshotted in Gears1 and that comes from the 2years i played it. People need to stop whining and just play Gears2 for what it is. Yes theres problems with it but it will be fixed soon. The game was never suppose to be like that anyway just running around with your shotty.

If you were so good at GoW1 you should have been able to adjust to Gears2. I still can wallbounce people to death the only thing that stops me is the 2 piece which 90% of the Gears2 community do. Since that will be tone down in the upcoming patch people will be in trouble. There toning down the smoke nades so you won't be on the ground forever and if you were any good with the snipe to begin with you wouldn't have np using it in Gears2 but like i said majority of Gears1 players just active downed all day with the snipe.

Another thing, about the whole Halo stayed the same if you played Halo1 then played Halo2 it was way different the same with halo2-halo3 so get your facts straight. Once this update come there shouldn't be much whining going on about GoW1>>>GoW2 but then again i forgot who im dealing with. If you hate Gears2 so much just get off the forums go play killzone2/Call of Duty or something or hell play your GoW1 with everyone running around with shottys and getting active downed by the snipe even though i have no problem killing with the shotty in Gears2.

I had to quote this cus i agree with you 100%. I don't want to sell my copy but all the flaws you mention is aggervating. I just hope this update fix all that. The worst thing is the standbyers and bridge hosters. I lost my 4star rank because of so many games i left because I'm getting standbyed. I'll either be winning 4-0 or 4-4 or 4-2 and bam they start standbying so i just leave the game. Like you said I played GoW1 2years straight i like what they did with GoW2 but the flaws/exploits is what annoy me the most. Hopefully this update on the 24th will fix all of that if not all at least the standby/vacuum chainsaws and tone down that damn 2 piece and I'll be straight.

Now come on guys gears 2 is possibly the best game for the xbox 360. Yes epic changed a lot of the MP concepts, but they did it for a reason.....GEARS IS A TEAM BASED GAME, and people who think epic have done a bad job are people who cannot get kills in MP unless they 2 piece, and then when they get killed themselves they quit out and blame the connection (LAME EXCUSE). The MP may not be the best but at least epic are supporting their games with updates and content.

Well, compaired with some other games, Gears is more realistic. Especially GOW2. I got the original GOW with a bonus disk that showcased GOW2, and the physics they displayed on that disk was nothing but eye candy. The water physics, in particular, was breathtaking. I wonder if they included somewhere in that bonus disk or GOW2 disk where you can kill that block of meat... :D

I did not think GOW2 was a big disappointment. Thought I like the first one better, I enjoy GOW2, and am looking forward to the thierd installment.

Halo completely updates the gameplay. Halo 1 was about pistoling and getting the high ground on a map. It also didn't have magnetic bullets, so it was more focused on aiming. In Halo 2, the jump became different, dual-wielding became a huge part of the game, as you started with a dual-wieldable weapon and a Battle Rifle. The Battle Rifle was important, so it whoever could aim better would win the fight, but the game was more established as an all-range game, with an emphasis on CQC. Halo 3 has kind of returned to it's roots, starting you with a Battle Rifle and Assault Rifle (usually), so dual-wielding is less important, but still useful. There are heavy weapons like turrets and missile pods to add anti-vehicle stuff, and there are just as many short-range as there are mid and long-range weapons, so you must be good at close, mid, and long-range, but the game is more focused on mid-range.

I consider myself an OGP(orignal gears player XD) because i fell in love with gears one as soon as it came out, and i really cant understand why epic would change a game so much just so new people could get involved and think they're good cause they can tag grenades onto walls and two piece. I dont think that gears of war should be dumbed down to a game with no skill like it has been with the releast of gears 2. It has a lot of potential to be an amazing game, dont get me wrong gears 2 is OKAY, but its not the best that it could be.
