I don't understand what you mean by "a coloured sheet covers most of the screen..." Can you post a screenshot?

Whenever asking for help with a problem, always post your system specs (see my sig line below for what should be included).

I’ve posted it on another forum you can see the picture there once its back up :/ . .My pc runs great with the game...no lag at all and nice graphics. And I can’t figure out how to insert an image on this forum tell and ill give you one.

The proper way to post a large screenshot here is to enclose the URL to the picture inside of [ shot ][ /shot ] tags. For example:
[ shot ]http://epic.dvts.org/voices.jpg[ /shot ]
(with no spaces anywhere) will display
http://epic.dvts.org/voices.jpg

Note that there must not be any spaces inside of the "shot" brackets; I had to use spaces to illustrate the tags so they would show up in the text that I typed.

There are a number of things that could cause this
http://epic.dvts.org/my annoying problem 2.jpg

and your system specs are the place to start in trying to diagnose it. When posting your specs, also include the version of your video drivers.

My first inclination, however, is that your video card may be overheating.

Also, that screenie isn't from UT3, is it? How about one from UT3? ...as a .jpg, not a .bmp file...your .bmp pic in the other forum is over 900KB, the .jpg copy I posted above is only 150KB.

that what you need?

Yes, thank you, that is what we need. I say "we" because I'm going to have to turn this over to someone who is more familar with the various models of ATI cards than I am.

I'm thinking now that perhaps your video card is not quite up to snuff. I have seen suggestions here that only 256MB of video RAM can be a problem, but being an nVidia user, I would rather have a person of the ATI persuasion comment further.

all games ive played run fine even vehicle capture the flag with the maximum Ai you cna have.

I'm guessing here, but it could be that the weather effects are adding enuf additional texture (or whatever) demands on the card (and its memory) to create the problem.

how can it be only the weather and not anything else?

I hope so. I have gotten the process of figuring it out started for you, but we do need some additional input from other people here. All I can do is counsel patience now.

I wish I could say I have but I just don't have enough experience with ATI cards these days. The last one I had was probly 6 or 7 yrs ago, maybe even back as far as before my first Voodoo card, which would be over 10 yrs ago.

Frankly, I'm shocked that no one else has had anything to say about this.
