UT3 suddenly not booting any longer

My UT3 suddenly does not boot any longer. I tried reinstalling it , both with the DVD and via steam but it just doesn't work. Strange thing is, I get no error. I just get a very small "Unreal Tournament 3" window with only the minimize button working.

Any idea?

If I understand you correctly....
If I were you, I would make sure the User area files are completely deleted before you do your reinstall.
Try to uninstall Ut3. Delete all UT3 files in your User directory, Reboot, Reinstall Steam Ut3. The steam version will include the 1.3 patch.
Make sure you do not have both Steam and Retail installed.
