EPIC can we do something about a more even and fair distribution of the circle and where it is placed in conjunction with where the teams spawn in Annex and KOTH games.
If I am a COG and I only have 2 rounds to win a match why would the system place the circle closest to the LOCUST spawn at the start of both rounds given them a head start and unfair advantage.
I understand that some maps are not very symmetrical so if there is no central location then you can have the circle appear close to the LOCUST spawn for the first game and then close to the COG spawn in the second. For example, Day one is one of those assymetrical maps where there is no middle point really.
As opposed to Blood Drvie which is more symettrical and you can just default it to start at either torque/sniper or flamethrower.

Any unfair advantage for objectives spawns has always happened on bloodrive for me. But it rarely happens.

It seems like it happens to me on every map. On River, it's always their pistol or snipe. Blood Drive is the same. It's one of those things that really bug me because it's easier to hold the point then it is to take it. Now spawn at the other end of the map and you've got yourself a big handicap.

Placing it closer to a team isn't always a good thing. Take Canals for example. The spot is on the other team's set. If you go rushing over there you can grab the grenades (even torque if the sniper has a bad shot) with a benefit of less resistance. Someone's going to be standing on the point. Usually this happens on every map. Spots that are closer to one team mean they can't go out and get better weapons. Assuming you go 2by3 you can take out pretty much anyone.

When you have uneven maps or maps without a midpoint you are going to have to put it close to one of the teams. That is just what we have to deal with. To make it fair they should make it close to one team in one round and then close to the other team in the next round.
However, the third round should it be a tie still presents a problem.

on the same note - it depends on what gametype ur playing. If its annex, then all u gotta do is capture it and u may not need to defend as much it cos the other team may not come in time. so if its closer to a team then it will help them to gain 60 quick points.
If its king of the hill, and the spot is nearer to one team - obviously one guy will be standin in it, but for the team defendin it - all they gotta do is guard the entrances to the hill so then it is difficult to enter regardless of havin power weapons cos if they work as a team - it may be near impossible to break through. So again if the spot is nearer to one team then they can be at an advantage in comparison to u sayin they will be at a disadvantage.

I fail to see why it would be hard to set up annex points equal distance from both spawns on every map.

Because the distrubution of the weapons and the spawn sites are not symetrical in all maps

I love annex. In Gears 1, one of the toughest maps eas Elevation, specifically because the spwan points and caps could be at opposite ends.
It made it one of the toughest, most grueling maps- and ultimately, a favorite.
Challenge, when not supplied through glitches, lag, or design flaws is a good thing!

It depends on the map, but the spawn points vs. objective points are mostly fair. Usually if you are losing, or close to it, you will spawn nearest the hill. But I see what you mean about Annex, IMO, the intial spawn in Annex should always be a central weapon. Otherwise one team may get a headstart over the other each game.
KotH on Blood Drive FOR THE FAIL!
So EPIC, any plans on changing this glaring inconsistency?
I kept getting into unbalanced KotH matches tonight on Pavillon. It sucks losing because the opposing team gets 20 free points, and then gets to respawn close-side the first time... giving them like 40 free points.
I think every map except Day One, has at least 1 middle ground weapon... why are you not making it the hill? So lame.
