Title Update 2: Broke my War Journal...

OK, so, I've been on the forums, read the updates and thought, "Hey, this looks cool, I liked Gears anyway and if they've removed any bugs it's gunna be better, right?"

Wrong.

I've been playing it for less than 2 days since the update and my War journal reset. The WHOLE thing. I lost all the collectibles and the progress on my achievements, like "let's party like it's 1999". This is a joke, when I view it, it shows the achievements I have done - like Pack Rat etc. - and says I have 0/20 but have the achievement. What the hell happened?

And, now I keep getting all the crappy reminders on how to use guns, which I can already do...

And I just did "Once more with feeling." Again. It's redoing all the achievements again and it's annoying seeing things I've done come up again. Can someone explain what's happened???

Same thing happened to me, I was lucky though and had a campaign saved in Act 2 of Insane and was planning to beat the game on it anyway so I unlocked all the characters again. So I unlocked Insane mode by beating the game on insane mode. As for Party Like It's 1999 and Seriously 2.0... don't worry too much because playing 1999 isn't so bad if you have a lot of good friends. Losing your seriously progress sucks, but you can make up for it by exploiting the last act and last chapter of campaign.

I think Mark Rein addresses this problem in some post on here, he says something about not turning off your system in the middle of campaign and always return to main menu and let the game save any progress you've made. Too late for that though but good luck on working your achievements.

So I unlocked Insane mode by beating the game on insane mode.

Haha, nice, I spose I could do the same thing with my insane save. I've got some mates who want me to help them do it on insane as well too.

YES EPIC....WTF?!?! When the patch went through recently all my **** was erased. I have the achievemnets to prove that I have accomplished a lot of the achievements but everything is reset to zero including all kills and multiplayer rounds played.
What are you going to do about this.....saying that I'm pissed off doesn't even scratch the surface of how much I'm fed up with this, as well as the fact that nobody is doing anything to fix it and get me all of my info back.....

Do you know how your's happened? Mine was when me and my mate were both signed into XBL and we were playing split-screen online. We were booted from a game in which the host left and next game I realised I started getting "Once mor with feeling..." again.

Wow, this same thing happend to me just a few days ago and I went looking for a number or e-mail adress or something. I ended up calling the number on the back of the gears box and i was ended up being told that there was nothing that i could do about it. I was at about 40,000 kills for seriously 2.0 and now im at 110. I have lost my favorite charecters to play with (dizzy and tai) now i have to go through the story all over again and i have to get to certian points on all the achevments i had :-(

That's what I was thinking! I thought I could e-mail them the problem but they can't even afford a support service so I had to give up and sign up here - but it looks like even if I had contacted them it wouldn't have made a difference seeing as they don't care about their customers. :mad:

u cant sign into the game after the pressing the start menu or it gets screwed i have had it happen to me three times and im still messing with it to figure out a way 2 fix it.

No you are not alone, I actually started a thread about this just a couple weeks ago. Mine happened then i was in the last chapters of the final act on insane though, and only had the last 2 collectibles to get to get the achievement, now i have to get all of them again to get the achievement.

dude same thing happened to me but chill. its not realy about achievments. and whatever achievments you got al;ready you keep just the war journal dont recognise and those you havnt obtained must be done from scratch
