Playing offline (PC)

I've just bought UT3 and am having a big problem. I don't have the facility to play online (im at uni and the internet conenction here blocks things like that)

So I'm playing offline, campaign mode. Every time I exit ut and then go back into it my campaign is not there any more and all the control changes revert to their defaults.

you'll need to log in at least once online to save your progress on the campaign.
if memory serves me right.
