Hello, me friend and I bought got Gears of War 2 a few days ago. I've played the original, but just campaign really, never much MP. Anyway we love Horde mode but the trick to MP seems to elude us. Mostly we have problems with the shotgun. In Wingman we put a smoke grenade on the door, some people came and got knocked down. We kill one and I ran at the other one and shot him twice with a shotgun, he turns shoots me once and I die. So we were wondering what's the trick to winning shotgun fights/being good at MP? Thanks

You need to not aim when you shoot, but dont blindfire. You need to tap the aim button, then fire.

That really takes experience to say, regardless if someone told you the ideal method.
In that situation you described where you shot him twice, it was either lag or you were shooting 30 feet away.
Know you're surroundings, always utilize cover, and never stay still or roam in the open. It's a bit of common sense if something you did the first time isn't working; disregarding lag.

Well it sometimes matters by connection, but mostly by distance. For instance like Aristocrat said, if your 30 feet away, it'll take at least four shots to down him.
But if your close enough just pop-shot him, or blindfire. Its complicated but soon enough you'll get it. Next time to run towards him, stay back and shoot.
