I am a noob that needs help custom maps

I don't know how to get custom maps. i don't know what the console thing is. if any one can help or make a video or something i would appreciate it

opening the console is the button next to 1, it's "~"/"`"....to open a map you have to place it in mydocuments/mygames/gearsofwar/wargame/published/custommaps

then when at the menu open the console and type "open mapiwannaplayrightnow"
ex.
open mapname

Any ideas as to why my game crashes when loading a custom map? Like, I load in, see everything, then like after about 5-10 seconds it crashes and gives me a runtime error...

If anyone knows a fix, it would be greatly appreciated :)
