Hey Gears people. I was wondering if there's any way to officially request a change in an upcoming update for the XBox 360. I'm asking because I'd REALLY like to option to turn down the opacity on the HUD (Gun icon, score counter, etc) because it is starting to cause some major burn in on my plasma TV. I'd just stop, but everyone in my house plays the game, so instead of pulling a dick move an banning the game I'd like to just turn the bright icons down.

Thanks!

that is kind of normal on plasma TV dont worry if your is a quality plasma TV it will at some point (Usually after a certain gap of time, mine is at 400 hour) it will refresh the whole plasma panel screen erasing the burned icon you see now

I'd like to see this as well, as I've been noticing some image retention on my 50" Panasonic plasma from Gears of War 2 (usually a bit of a glow around where the ammo bar is at, and only when the screen is displaying a black or very dark picture). This game is nowhere near as bad as some other games (ie: Call of Duty: World at War in co-op split-screen, which surrounds the two co-op screens in a huge static frame), but there's really no settings that allow you to move the HUD around or reduce its black levels. As a result, I end up running the game with brightness and contrast settings reduced, which makes everything look kind of bland.

Luckily, I haven't had any permanent burn-in yet, as I've been pretty good about mixing in full-screen TV programming or movies with my gaming to get rid of any leftover image retention. It would be nice to be able to play the game with my TV's visual settings cranked up and not have to worry about it, though. I doubt I play enough to really do any long term damage to the TV, but I'm sure there are plenty of people that do.
