View Full Version : First attempt Melee Weapon

Hi all...
Melee weapon always been a lil pain to implement....here'z first attempt to start a tutorial(this part just took an hour)...really appreciate if someone like to contribute on this...which will help all the community members....
I will like to share my hacks with you all...and some questions...for now I carefully replaced the my animations with ImpactHammer animation names....followed ImpactHammer naming convention...I got my weapon ingame working with damage..here's the code u can download...how i did this :-

some questions if someone like to contribute on this
1. Fire and alt fire animations are looping... (i guess figured out the problem...i think its because of charge animations looping parameter set somewhere in code).

You didn't give us the package with the sword model, so we can't try it out. Looks cool in the screenshot though.

Hello!

Tested it out. It's a bit awkward to use in fights as animations don't seem to match up with sword swings on my computer. Also, does the sword actually charge or is that just leftover from the impact hammer code?

It'd be a bit easier to try it out if you put the two in a .rar or .zip and uploaded em to say, FileFront btw.

yes I did mentioned ...for now I carefully replaced my animations with ImpactHammer animation names....followed ImpactHammer naming convention...I got my weapon ingame working with damage...m working on this...until i get time to fix the looping animation problem.....

sorry got caught up with vehicles and Rankin, pm'd you my thoughts but it looks like you have them inhand, you never know i might need your help soon for melee stuff :)
