It wrecks the experience. I can't talk to my team because they're in a party, or our team gets our asses handed to us because the other team is cooperating perfectly. It's annoying.

If I'm a one man party, pair me with teammates who also have no party and put me against five others with no party.

carpooling is easier too, however most people drive by themselves... heh think about it before posting that. I have a full friends list and its impossible at times to even start a party because people are doing other things/ different games/ different game modes in GoW2. I agree with the original OP

You can always go to one of your teammates name and join their party

You can, but some people are jerks and will just kick you from the party if you're not one of their friends.

That's another style of playlist they need to add to the matchmaking, no parties.
