A possible solution to the smoke grenade

I personally dont have a problem with the smoke grenades in their current state, but a lot of other people do. So I thought of an idea. Instead of having the grenades explode and stun people whenever theyre thrown, they should only detonate and stun people when they are placed on walls. This way, when people throw them normally, they just act as regular smoke grenades. Thoughts?

Maybe if we keep spamming epic with stun grenade threads they will update it.

W/e it needs to be done. At least make it an option for customs/privates.

I actually posted this somewhere on another forum but yes I agree 100% with this idea. And also I think once a player dies his/her smoke/frag/poison grenades should not continue to stay planted.

I like the stun effect. I only don't appreciate it when I get hit on stairs and fall all the way to the bottom and then some before I get up.

smokenades are awesome...i think...the only problem is when you get stunned on stairs...it takes forever to recover.. i was thinking they should maybe make the smokenade knock you back like when your getting melee'd..

The best fix would be that smokes should be Friendly Fired ... that way that guy you were having this insane duel with will also go down and your team can actually do something >.> Probably not with this non-mic fest going on in Gears 2.

Smoke grenade is ridiculous

They shud have kep it the same way as gears 1 where everyone starts off with a smoke nade. Then EPIC shud have decided to make a new grenade - STUN nade so it is a pick up weapon just like the frags and ink. So instead of ppl spammin the current smoke nades - they will have to work hard to get the stun nade and be able to use it

I'm fine with it but it should disapear when the owner dies.
Once i got hit with a smoke on ruin and fell into the imulsion and died.
