Locking on in the PS3 version?

It seems to me that in rare cases, the PS3 version has a subtle locking-on thingamajig. It is hard to put my finger on it, but I think about 5% of the time, it seems that when I put my crosshair on the enemy, it's slightly harder to take the crosshair off of him, which creates a "lock on" feeling.

I don't like lock-ons, so this bothers me a little. Has anyone else noticed this?

yes, its the aim assist, once you notice it youll notice its active all the time.

No you can't. It's unchangeable. It's so annoying and I wish Epic would give the option to take it off.

Aw... I just hate it when I get a kill I don't really deserve... such as killing a bot with the darkwalker when I KNOW that I was supposed to miss him by at least a foot.

You can't, maybe they will change that with the expansion...
