Umm I'm not sure either but you can find definitions by going to google and saying define: <insert word here>
The definitions for Gib that I got were:

a neutered male ferret.

The technical name for blood-and-guts splattering in a game.

To Frag someone in a shooter by completely blowing up their body is called Gibbing.

The small chunks of meat/blood that fly away from a game character or monster when hit or killed. The term was coined by Adrian Carmack of id software, and is correctly pronounced as jibs.

in basic terms what happens when u point blank someone with a shotgun (weel what is spose to happen) they just explode and body parts go everywhere thats when someone gibs =]
