What happened to good old shotgun battles from gears one? people running up to you an doing the so called 'two piece' is what is ruining gears! people reading this are gonna say your a noob just cos you cant do it, but i can do it an i fooking rule at it! But i dont wanna cos i can aim aswell which brings me back to shotgun battles, which are the best! You miss me with torque or sniper, fook it press b twice an ***** slap me down! Meleeing sucks helmet! Chainsawing i can live with, even though i agree it should go back to being similar to gears one, but i and everyone new to gears starts with the chainsaw, you cant resist yourself when you see little carmine in cover with a sniper go press b next to him an rev that little ***** up! eventually you stop chainsawing cos you know theres a shotgun next to your head. i used to be able to take on two people but now i get slapped by them both not shot, they pretend to do me doggystyle then shoot me. Overall melleing, two piece, ***** slapping whatever its called is a load of pap!

chainsawing is way worse than 2-piece. at least a 2 piece IS possible to survive

i agree with mr pootash the melee on gears 2 has ruined the game for me nearly everyones first instinct is not to shoot but to bi**h slap your all *****s and should learn to shoot your gun

ps are you the same pootash that won the underground tournament on gears one who also went 40 games unbeaten with a hundred kill streak . respect
Dude, I hate the 6 foot two-piece (huge melee distance).. If we could blind-fire it probably would be possible to survive, but atm...WOW.. the melee range is like the pistol whip in gow1!

This ain't Gears 1 (thank god), running up to someone for a hipfired shotgun gib is risky behavior. If you step close enough for someone to saw you, you got what you deserved. Stop blaming everything on the game, your play style needs to adapt.

Most the issues are because of lag. i wouldn't have a problem with the 2 piece but when someone is running straight at me so i shoot them point blank and they just run through it. It gets annoying. i think most people started doing the 2 piece because the lag makes things so inconsistent. i should be able to point blank someone thats not looking at me but thats not the case with gow2.

u can survive a chainsaw battle as long as u have ur lancer out and enter a duel. But with two piece, i think its still as hard as gears 1 to escape because i cant pull off my shot in time to get my opponent and end up dyin loads of times when i get two pieced

dude i would rather get chainsawed anyday, i didnt mind 2 peices in gears 1 cuz it was my fault if i let them get close enough but now u cant stop it cuz the shot gun has no stopping power so thety just ran half way across the map to push b then right trigger round of appaluse for you noobs! it doesnt make you good cuz every time i shotgun fight people properly that 2 peice they get done over if not then i applaude them cuz tehy can acctually play the game properly inlike you and the rest of the 2 peicers, i reckon it should take you longer to get out of ur punch when u contact with someone that way idiots would certainly think twice about 2 peicing me again

If a guy comes around a corner and I shoot him 5-6 times with my hammerburst and he still chainsaws me, there's something wrong. I saw every shot hit him and blood came out each time and I still got sawed. Maybe it was lag, but it was still ridiculous. I would like it if they changed the saw and the melee back to what it was in Gears 1. If you get shot while doing either, you get stunned.

I find shooting useless unless there is no other option.

Overall melleing, two piece, ***** slapping whatever its called is a load of pap!I really don't understand your complaint; people in the first Gears of War could two-piece just as easily as they can now in Gears 2. It just wasn't as practical because players fired their shotguns instead of meleeing instead. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the distance that the melee could reach out was farther in the first game than it is in the second.
The only thing that would irritate me is a player who did nothing but try to two-piece everyone he came across, which I suppose is more prevalent in Gears of War 2, but it's not like two-piecing is as bad as noobish as chain saws.
