Hi PC Gamers,

Help me Keep this alive, And give reasons why they should make it and feelings on Epic not making GOW2 for PC. help keep hope alive. GOW2 FOR PC CROSSPLATFORM PLAY 360<>PC
you i play with an xbox controller on the PC and i can still battle the Keyboard&Mouse players with no problem, so cliffy you must be smokin crack- To say K&M is superior to the controller, who did you have make that decision for you or did you yourself make that Assumption, and on what basis. Did you use someone that complains alot when they get kill, and has a thousand excuses. I notice you have a lot of babies that cant except the fact that they got there butt kick in the game. all they do is put the blame on game problems, cheaters, hackers. The only difference between a xbox controller and a K&M is the user. If you suck you suck........i kicked alot of K&M ass with my xbox controller, but i would never buy an ****box.

Piracy is not enough reasons to not make it for us, I bet that on the pc side of things, that more people bought the game then pirated it. It plays better, looks better, PC gets more out of the game (with additions and mods) for how complex the game is, its made to be played on Sophisticated systems, not consoles. Frame rate is better, resolution is better. It looks the way its ment to look on a descent system.

epic can blame piracy for all i care, i bought the game and the story is not complete, i want to know as a customer how it continues. i bought it knowing they didnt even release the patch for my region which was just another reason why i shouldnt have bought it.

I dont know why epic doesnt like to complete something they start, all that talk about cross-platform play with the first GOW, but because they couldnt get it down in time for the holiday season so they can make there money, they didnt complete the game. And now totally screwed GOW2, not only did they mess up not making it for PC, they still couldnt finish the game properly for the xbox version. What a half-fast game company............Here Epic, I'll help you a little, when you make a plan you stick to it. Not this jumping from banwagen to banwagen ****. Do what you originally planned, make the damn game x-platform play, let the gamers decide and if they dont like it, give them an option to shut it, so whoever wants x-platform play can and whoever doesnt have too.......and stop with this piracy ****, because PC games are doin just fine and do you think people aren't pirating xbox game's (wake up)! and last but not least, if you wanted the sales to do better for PC, then just adding extra content wont cut it, i hope you read this epic, if you really wanted the game to do well you should have not waited so freakin long to release it for the PC, people weren't as excited anymore, it was already old news.......DUH! if you released when there was still hype for the game, i bet you would have sold more. and I am not even interested in marketing and dont give to **** for it, but i can tell i know more then epic when it comes down to it. stop having idiots call the shot on how the games will be released, cause whoever called that totally screwed your reputation,"So easy a caveman can do it". Even now if you ended up making it for PC you already screwed yourselves, you already screwed up the xbox version, gave the PC gamers the shaft, and now up ****s creek with GOW2. I think Cliffy actually said the controller was superior to the keyboard and mouse. Cliffy just hates the PS3 controller.

I think the main problem with the sales for Gears PC is that they release it a year after the 360 version with little or no advertising. Most people I've talked to didn't even know it was released for the PC. That, and I have NEVER seen it in a store for sale. I had to pre-order mine from Gamestop just to get it. It just seems like they didn't even try to sell it. If they released Gears 1 on PC and Xbox simultaneously I think they would have had much better sales for the PC. It helped a bit that there was extra content, but lots of people that bought it for the 360 did not want to buy it again just for the extra content.

Great graphics cards nowadays are super cheap. You can get a card that will play Gears of War for under $150, and if you need more RAM then its another $30 for 2 gigs. You can upgrade your PC to a gaming PC for much less than a 360. Other developers dont seem to have much of a problem developing for more than one platform at a time, e.g. Left 4 Dead, Prince of Persia. I'm quite curious to see how sales of Left 4 Dead were PC vs consoles.

If they dont port it, then give me the source code and I'll port the damn game myself!!!

I purchased my copy of Gears of War PC and the game ends on a cliffhanger - i'd like to see how the story continues, so I have every intention of buying a PC version of GOW2.

The thing is, quite a few things went wrong with GOW PC. I've mentioned them before, but briefly.

- released 1 yr later: quite a few ppl would already have the 360 version, plain and simple
- released November 2007: This is a VERY, VERY competitve month to release games and it was up against some stiff competition.
- Games for Windows Live Gold: At the time of GOW PC release (and for quite a long time after), you had to purchase a subscription to GFW Live Gold, which is something that annoyed alot of PC gamers, such as myself - Silver was practically useless, and even harder for anyone in Australia like myself to find a game
- Performance/stability: Alot of ppl complained about stability issues and bugs. Personally, I had next to NO problems, but seemingly quite a few did, so obviously that turned quite a few people off a purchase.


The fact that GFW Live Gold is already free would play into a GOW2 PC favour. I think that cross-platform multiplayer would go a long way to encourage PC sales, since PC people could also play against 360 people and be GUARENTEED to find more games to join.

So true a 360/PC release together with crossplatform play would surely let epic see that there is a GOW demand on PC if they released it properly.
If the 1st Gears for PC was even released on PC 6 months after 360 version with crossplatform play it would have sold better and people that did not know there was a PC version would soon find out when the PC players went online and kicked ther controller playing asses! Almost like free advertisement.

Believe me man the HOPE HAS BEEN ALIVE EVEN BEFORE THE RELEASE OF THE GAME with about 9 months.

Yea man that would be extremely awesome,although the only thing i care about is the Campaign mode OFCOURSE and Horde Mode.

like said before, Epic is not the only team which is able to port the game for PC.
MS might hire some other team to do that after the sales has reduced.

i was thinking the same , this would make the game play that much better being able to play xbox360/pc people together , cause the game matchs on gow2 is random you cant pick one unless your hosting one , so you wouldnt even know who your playing half the time and ect , i have gow2 for xbox360 but i never play it online its not the same as a pc , im waiting for gow2 to come out hopfully and if not guess were all gona have to fund somthing else to play that there willing to listen and finish the game and not leave us hanging in the dark for years because they think 360 is better then pc last time i check pc has be around alot longer then a stupid xbox has am i right?
the way it looks they just threw the game together who cares about crash problems just to shut the pc'ers up , doesnt sound or seem right to me your making a game for the world by a company finish it and do it the right way only game i played by epic on pc and i must say it crashes left and right glitches all over but for some reason its the only game i play
