im not sure if this is the right place for this, (if not please move it to the right place instead of deleting it plz...) but to me it seems like EPIC banning ppl is an event, its likea field day for them or sumthing... (not a joke):D

so i check these forums almost daily to c if there is any news about a patch for gears 2, and almost every thread i go into ends up off topic and eventually talking about, "omg, i just got banned for no reason WTFKLFJKLHSWBDKJLGSJDKKJ EPIC?!" not only that but then ppl post the reason for which they were banned, and it seems to me, EPIC doesnt atually hav a reason at all, they just simply cant handle the truth about their game. my friend was banned, reason being "you already knew u would b banned." really EPIC? cant think of a real reason so u just tell them they knew they would b banned, never let it b lifted and hope they dont come back and tell everyone about it? GET REAL! do u no how many ppl r on their 3rd, 4th, 5th... god only knows wat number account?! take this guy for example....

lol ive already been banned twice for 'trolling' and all it does is make me hate epic, and cliffy b, even more. :)

you cant stop ppl, there are ways around ur walls, just look at this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IK1SbOWONpM

i cant find the post anymor, but i read a thread the other day where this kid was really confused, he said... epic, y was i banned? i just signed in yesterday and it said i was banned, reason for ban "you know why." ok, obvously, the kid dont no y, so i mean, if ur gonna ban ppl can u at least hav a valid reason?! or maybe u do hav one, but ur just too lazy to say wat it is, just like ur too lazy to make a wall that u cant melee through...

now i can understand u closing and deleting threads that either hav no relevance to where they r posted or bc there r about a thousand threads out there with the same thing in it, but ppl r getting frustrated with u guys at epic and ur game. we no u hav stickied threads for the problems and solutions and threads to voice ur opinion about the flaws or wat hav u, but can u hav one that u update weekly or sumthing so that we no u hear us? sumthing that u can let us no, maybe wats gonna b in the next patch, things that ur gonna fix, or not fix?!

if u do that, im sure ppl will stop with these pointless threads making EVERYONE happy.

just my 2 cents.

**EDIT:: if senior members r suposed to b helpful and point new user in the right direction, shouldnt the mods do the same instead of banning ppl for not knowing?

The posts about the issues aren't the problem - they are reviewed. We close threads or point people to the proper threads to post so threads aren't duplicated (most people do not look before they post).

Just imagine if you walked into a room and a million voices were shouting at you for equal attention - you need to cut the clutter.

Once you do - people get mad that you closed their post and start PMing you with vulgar language (or just swears on the boards outright).

That is a contributing factor that gets someone banned.

As for trolling the definition is: "An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion."

Most people post to get a negative response and get a reaction and then the forums latch onto it and flame the thread - which is a troll. It takes two trolling warnings to get a ban, so these people have tried it once and then they keep violating the rules that are posted.

It takes several repeat offenses to get banned.

Closing thread.
