I hate profiles, logins and stuff that makes a bad experience...

The menues all the bugs and stuff they removed in UT3 was bad enough for this game we dont need another problem we need fixes. If you look at gameplay all previous ut versions have had several benefits... The thing that makes this game playable is the graphics.

Haha, my match was in the tie breaker on floodgate, I was point whoring to the max, was leading the score board with 300+ points. And then boom, I was pwned by Gamespy. h4x0r style

I hope the expansion learns from this and gets rid of the GaySpy dependency so that it becomes more like 2k4 where you can still play and access favorites etc. when the main server's down.

I was in the shower, then i came back and half my clan on MSN and XFire telling me there's been another one of these duplicate logins, some of them had never even had it before and were panicking xD

Yea ...I though maybe it was my UT3 or My Internet connection. I found and Installed the UT3 Patch 1.3..... But still unable to Login. I really hope they fix this issue! Does anyone know if I was supposed to install the other versions of Patches first?? Or will 1.3 do the trick?

I was with Infra Playing floodgate, i got into an unmanned NS at flood, and then preceeded to tell me team that some douche left it out. So i captured flood and a guy healed me up and whatnot. I kept seeing messages like 3vs3, 2vs2 You vs Me, but didnt understand what was going on ROFL. So i finished the map with the flood node (My team won BTW), then I checked the scoreboard.... i was all alone. ROFLMFAO. After i typed to someone on my friends list i tried another server, got the duplicate error, then scooted over to the forums to see what was up. GG's guys haha, peace

Sigh. Saving preferences in an online service = smart. Making access to the ACTUAL game dependent on said online service = stupid. This is not an MMO.

Whoever signed these rights away to Gamespy really needs to be shot (only reason I can think you wouldn't just patch this problem away). You better have gotten a ton of money for signing away access to your game. Oh and if you did, we'd all like some of it :) Nothing like paying for a game you can't play because someone decided an exclusive deal with Gamespy was a good GAMEPLAY decision... honestly, how do you guys look at yourself in the mirror each morning? What's that? It's pretty easy in your Ferrari's rear view mirror? Sigh.

Not login possible with gamespy for the moment.
Epic have probably chosen Gamespy because of some commercial agreement i guess. Perhaps they no longer wanted to have their own master servers so they delegate to gamespy ..

When the master server was down the previous UT versions at least still let you play on servers that were already in your favorites, but for the 1,000,000th time everything about this gamespy login crap sux ballz...

i'm doing my bloody best to keep UT3 alive on clanbase, we had 3 ictf 2v2 offi's matches going when the server died. that are 6 active clans missed. damn, damn !

Epic's lesson (hopefully) learned: if you're going to contract with a service that has the potential to bring down everything in a game you created and ostensibly care about, at least get a 100% SLA.



What's nuts: with so few people ever playing online, a single server could easily handle the login service.

What's really nuts: a single server probably is.

A cople of hurs isnt bad guys trust me I used to play WoW on Earthen Ring and that was a nightmare server if I ever had to play on one. A cople of hours is nothing compered to that.

That said randomness of the server trouble could be fixed by maintinance brakes we are warned about.
