I know the figures it contains, but does thie boxset contain anything exclusive like in boxset one where there was the Hammer Of Dawn and Alternate Locust head.
Thanks for the help.

It contains the hammer of dawn, so if you bought some of the series 1 figures separately it's worth a purchase.

I'm talking about the contents of Box set 2 with Baird Dom and Theron in it. Sound like you're on about boxset 1
No, series 2 has the Hammer as well.

yeah, seems all the box sets have the hammer - including the TRU one.

That sucks. I thought they'd add something else like grenades perhaps. Since I live in the UK, Toysrus don't sell 'em so it's really hard for me to find this stuff.

In this boxset, is it the better series 2 articulated Marcus or the old series 1?
In this boxset, is it the better series 2 articulated Marcus or the old series 1?He has a slightly better paint job, but his joints are weak and he's prone to break and come apart. He's more fragile than series 1.

there was a boomshot released?
there was a boomshot released?Nope. I think he was saying almost every handheld weapon from the game was included except the Boomshot.

Well I finally got boxset 2. I like all the figures in it. The Theron Sentinel is cool, along with my dom, even if he holds his lancer left handed. The baird is decent, but seems to have oddly curved legs and has a spot of blavk paint on his nose. The Marcus is nice and doesn't fall to pieces. Unfortunately, his paint scheme aint the best, so I guess I'll be repainting him soon.
Still not sure which marcus to sell with my second Hammer of Dawn. Series 1 Marcus has good paint but limited articulation, Series 2 has better articulation but a worse paint scheme. Which one?
Series 1 Marcus is going for more online. I see series 2 on clearance for $6 to $10 all the time, even if he's not broken. If your series 2 Marcus is still in one piece, I'd reccomend keeping that one.

Yeah I'll probs sell the series 1 marcus with a lancer and hammer of dawn. Then I'll use the money I make from that to get some series 3 and add them to the diorama I'm making.
It's funny that all the other figures I've bought (9), Marcus has been the only one I've had twice with poor paint apps.

Well the Series 2 box set is slightly disappointing, but this Toys R Us one I just got is off the hook! It came with so many weapons! I finally got the Longshot Sniper Rifle now! Now, about this Locust Hive Box Set....

I have box-set #2 and well... the characters pretty much suck..
Biards' nose paint is ripped off ( which I can only assume is from manufacturing and placing in the box before the paint is even dry, and he can only stand with his legs 100% straight, if you move them in any way he can't stand up ) ... the guard is about the same, the legs are only semi movable and any other position than the one I have him in, he just won't stand up... Marcus is deeply flawed and I can't move his thighs without breaking him ( there is a large strip of plastic hanging from his ass I can only assume is from a bad design flaw preventing his legs from moving), dom is OK but posses are extremely limited .. It came with a bunch of guns no character can hold ( I Had to heat up and bend hands just to get the Lancer in position ) it's too bad, cause detail is incredible :D
the lancers tips are all bent and I straightened them as well .. Neca really screwed this set up ... I Have #2 marcus " with more articulation" and only 2 or 3 poses are available, and I Had to slowly bend his fingers to get him to hold the lancer properly as well, but at least his legs move OK
The hammer of dawn looks great, but no character can hold it.. so what's the point ... it's left just sitting on the shelf beside the action figures :(
I ordered cole separately, but his is the worst, and can only hold the lancer if it's pointed towards the ground, and can't even place it in two hands like you would such a heavy gun, his forearms are such a different "black" that it looks like he's wearing a tshirt :( so I'm gonna have them repainted .. but overall I'm still happy to have them all on my shelf and posed nicely even if it's the only pose they'll go into .. just wish I could pose them in a more realistic fashion :(

Well my solution for Cole Train and his one handed gun is simple: Give him a pistol. That's what I did anyways. I usually gave him the COG Psitol, but sometimes the Boltok works nice too.
As for the Hammer of Dawn, most of my characters can't hold it either, but if you play with their fingers long enough Marcus or Baird can pull off holding the Hammer. Looks awesome, and is worth the effort since it's a box set exclusive and all.

For real?I thought they did'nt have those.
My Baird holds the Hammer pretty easily with either hand.

My marcus can hold the hammer. My figures have all turned out well overall apart for a few flaws I have fixed:
Lancers are bent- Solved by holding in hot water for a few seconds then moving the flexible plastic into place.
Marcus version 2 can't hold weapon- Heated hand and moved fingers to be more open. Unfortunately their are still sprise marks presnt from when I tried to open his hands up without heating them up.
Marcus' armour has missing yellow symbols on it's top chest part- In progress fixing.
As for the figures them selves they are mostly great. I was slightly dissapointed with Cole's articulation and how Dom holds his weapon left handed instead of right. Baird also has a black spot of paint on his nose, so I'm trying to find a paint to match his skin tone.

Yeah, you *would* expect something like quality control or something.
I contacted NECA... *hope* they can/will send me a right hand :(
For now, I have to look at a genetic modified Theron all the time...

Why NECA? Try contacting the store/website from where you bought this? They should be able to get it replaced.
I had received a Baird figure with a broken leg. I took some pics of it and mailed it to BBTS. They immediately sent me a free replacement!
Try that.
