Hey everyone, this is my first map for Gears of War. This was a school project at The Guildhall at SMU. Build time was about 6 weeks.

Summary: A survival horror style Gears of War map

Introduction: Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago were sent to investigate signs of Locus activity in a previously dormant part of the city. As they stormed the entrance of the abandoned mansion, they set off an improvised booby trap. The resulting explosion left Marcus unconscious and Dominic badly injured. When Marcus comes to, he realizes his weapons are gone, and so is Dom.

Mission Briefing:
Upon waking up, you realize you are all alone, and unarmed. The explosion has blocked off the entrance, and the only way back home is to find a way out. Your immediate concern is to survive until you can find a weapon. Your overall mission is to rescue Dom, and find an alternate exit for extraction.

Screenshots seem a bit dark. Might have to up the skylight on this map based on feedback. Feel free to send any input or comments to AMeguid@gmail.com :D I'm always looking for ways to improve.

ok, ....

just played it, really a short simple map within 1 minute to finish,

only 2 locust and some wretches, a school style little map. seems ok for a map starter.

that's why i prefer horde and lance mode map much more than sp maps...

Yeah, it's not a heavy combat based map, that's for sure. It's meant to be an atmospheric and environmental map with a boss fight at the end. Although getting through it in a minute is pretty impressive, I've never even gotten through that fast in my dev playthroughs. Thanks for the input, I'll probably be adding onto it after I graduate :)

I'll probably be revisiting this map next term. I'm leaning towards makeing it bigger, and adding in more combat. Feedback is most definitely appreciated. Let me know what you'd like to see!
