Dear Gears of War Developers,
This is particularly addressed to those in charge of online Multiplayer matchmaking.
The system used to creat matchmaking games is extremely slow, it has taken up to 25 minutes just to match up me with another team. It has gotten to the point where i wait longer to play than spend time actually playing.
I am seriously taken aback by the magnitude of this problem, in a game that costs $60 and that hundreds of thousands of people play online....it literally ruins the multiplayer experience for me and I'm sure the majority of your player base has a similar experience that is extremely frustrating.
Honestly, I am angered to think of the videos of Cliff and the other game creators bragging about stuff like how the game could render hundreds of the horde at once, and how there were new game modes and little tweaks and new weapons that really don't amount to much in the end when it comes to gameplay.....yet at the same time, when advertising all these little improvements, you failed to create a functional multiplayer system that allows people to ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME THAT THEY BOUGHT, that they spent 60 bucks on.
Yea its great that there is a re-skinned map and a flamethrower, but I would prefer to actually be able to play the game that I used to love, i mean come on.
I can't believe the low quality and terrible efficiency of a multiplayer system on a game at this level of budget and expectation by players.
This matchmaking should take at most a matter of seconds, just like every other game out there. It that is not technically possible, the old system should be returned where you can just join a game instead of being put in a lobby and matched up with a team.
I really am taken aback by this gigantic failure that should never happen, even in the most low budget of game, let alone one with a gigantic bugdet.
I mean seriously, its like a car company designing a new car with a ton of extra features and all this jazzed up stuff and then advertising how great it is, but then it turns out that when you turn on the ignition, it takes 20 minutes for the car to start....no one would spend money for even the coolest car if it had this problem...... like it is the simplest thing and the most basic to the functionality of the game, but it is defective and it ruins the experience.... i'm sorry for ranting, i am just really frustrated, but thats the point, so are all of your other paying customers
