View Full Version : Things that need to be fixed

1. Chainsaw glitch- chainsaw does not properly drop when shot and you do shoot them. The chainsaw goes up way to fast. Shot gun shoots to slow to offset the speed in which the chainsaw rises back up

2. Shield glitch- you can carry lancer and shotgun weapons and also use the shield to jump through some walls

3. Inconsistent shotgun- lag, bad mechanics the shotgun is way to inconsistent at times. Epic you may have said you won't change it, but the change you made doesn't make the shotgun work all the time, i don't know what causes it but a lot of times I will take 3/4 shots to a person while they 1 shot me from a farther distance.

4. Executions- If I shot someone in the head while they are about to curb stomp someone my team mate shouldn't. Isn't that the point of making them kill able during the execution? If not than i find the fix sorta pointless, if they are done or not it doesn't make a difference to me because they will die either way.

5. Boomshot- It works like this. If you do not shot someone dead on they dont die. Last time a check a rocket is supposed to have aoe. Not hey I got shot in the head with a boomshot and my partner next to me dies leaving me with no damage.

6. Grenades- if they are behind a wall, they should not wrap around the wall and kill me 10 feet away. There is also literally almost no way around a frag tagged grenade placed nicely you have to sit, wait for respawns and go back to get rid of it. What a waste of my time

Hey guess what I have yet to get to the lag ;D

7. Region filter- I am a graveyard shifter, I don't want to come home and be forced to play on laggy hosts from around the world

8. Smoke Grenade- power weapon? The time you get up from being knocked down is never the same.

9. Lag- whoa, just simply amazing. I pay 60$ for xboxlive. I pay 60$ to play a game and I am supposed to accept sub-par standards, way to dumb down our standards and allow un finished games. Your doing exactly what EA does, but they seem to actually being fixing this. You have quality assurance people that are paid to make sure it is quality. You pay people to test this game and we pay hoping you have used the resources correctly.

The online play for this game is at no means finished. There is no excuse for this. Simple, no excuse. This thread isn't meant for others to post to.

Also to add

Retarded map glitched

1. River- being glitched from under the bridge to the top of the bridge. Also somehow people appearing in dead - ends

2. River- Smoke glitch that allows you to go by the gas tanks in the torque/sniper buildlings. Mainly used to hide but especially viable for guardian.

Map balancing issues

Subway- Cog always gets the torque. ALWAYS

Hail- Cog always gets the frags, always. Poison is utter crap when you have the choice between those and poison.

I agree with all your statements, but these ones the most. No game pisses me off more than this game. It's all the same, game after game. Laggy host after Laggy host and then finally one good one. And then the good host quits because his team gets destroyed. I regret buying this game, i wish i had gotten CODWAW. At least there would be some consistency there. I also wish that I could search for unranked matches like you could in gears 1. Then I might be able to avoid all the laggy ass hosts. This game is a severe disappointment for me...

epic only really only need to fix the invisible glitch, the boom/meat shield glitch, the two piecing there is no possible way to beat the two piecing unless ur host it kind of get old when u constantly get 2 pieced from behind i think if you melee ur gun should have a delay on the bullets and a second melee after the first melee, and the smoke grenades wow kool idea at first but when everyone uses it constantly abd it takes u forever sometimes to get back or u have to slide down the whole flight of stairs epic make smokes only stun u like a melee or like when your own team calls a motor on you u cover ur eyes. stoppin smokes from knockin you over would eliminate the invisible glitch because their is no way u can stop some1 from using a lagswitch and gettin out of the level

Here is what needs to be fixed ordered in priority.

1. Out of Map Glitches
2. Shield Weapon Glitch (Details below)
3. Shotgun inconsistency while aiming (See below for help)
4. Smoke Grenade Ragdoll overkill (Long Wait times while on ground and moving rapid on ground after going to rest)
5. Torque bow multiplayer draw time
6. Blindfire angling (Blindfire 60% of the time will hit the cover you are in.)
7. Host optimization (It's been better, but still can use some work)
8. Ranking System (Suggestions below)


2. The Shield glitch is when a player intentionally switches the sidearm while holding a shield so that they have a standard weapon while having the shield out. On a normal players screen, it will look like they are behind an invisible shield with a shotgun out. I won't say how you do this since it doesn't need to spread more then it has.

3. For those of you that have had really bad issues with the shotgun, most of the inconsistancy comes from lagtime on the bullets, and the increased spread when you are zoomed in. Leading your shot with the shotgun can sometimes help, and shooting outside of aim tends to give you better groupings.

8. With the ranking system, it is far too easy for the host to take advantage of, and players are getting penalized when they should have won. Some suggestions would be to increase the penalty of losing on those that leave the game. If the host leaves, double his penalty, and penalize the team that was behind at that point. The team that was winning should get half of the points for winning.

The current system allows hosts to leave without penalty and then everyone else that was left, winning or not gets a loss on their record and lose rank. That isn't right if you were winning, and sucks even more if you were losing, but still had a chance. I wouldn't want a system where the winning team could have their host leave to give themselves a quick win, nor would i want a system that host leaving can be taken advantage of. Right now, hosts are taking advantage of the system to cause pain to everyone else.

Records should be taken of hosts, and how often they disconnect, when in the games they disconnect, and connectivity. Similar to how halo got the best hosts, they went with the user that had the best connectivity history.

People leave these games too often, and we need a fix that will penalize them for it. They fully have the right to leave the game, but doing so shouldn't have any benifit, but rather should be negative.

Yep I agree with everything your saying...
The shotgun has become so underpowered, or evey game I go into must be laggy? I shoot a guy up close with it yet they just flinch a little, turn around and chainsaw me. Very frustrating.

Please fix this!

I agree. I paid $60 and for what sub-par gaming. I get beat out by lancers at close range when I have a shotgun. The only thing a can do now is just chainsaw, frag, and boomshot people. Why is this you ask.

1. LAG

2. Stupid weapon systems

-Lancer is dominant weapon at any range except for long range.

-Shotgun is too weak.(takes 6 shots close range to drop someone,gets beat out by lancer at close range)

-Boomshot to powerful(like it wasn't dumb enough in the first one, anywhere inside the blast radius you blow up)

-Hamberburst(yeah its not a burst weapon if its semi-auto,and need to be the same as in GOW)

-Chainsaw(make it like GOW so it drops as soon as you get hit)

-Smokes(made for concealment not battle starters)

-Inks(make them more powerful or last longer)

3. Stopping Power? No! You failed with that Epic! No it makes the game pointless at close range. You cant roll away from your enemy if he has a lancer if your dieing.

4. Let me choose my own game! I don't to play "execution" or "king of the hill" I am a "warzone" man I don't to play with the noobs in execution.

Prety sure if epic just fixes the freakin lag and the lag switchers the game would be 450 percent better. You wouldn't have problems win shotguns and stopping power. No bs in matches. Quit eatin donuts epic and fix the lag for the love of dogs

Dont forget that when hit by a smoke grenade while on the stairs fix it so we can get up faster better than rolling down the stairs.

I say lag is priority number 1. Cuz when you fix the lag most of the problems are fixed with smooth gameplay. You can fix the chainsaws later, the lag will fix almost everything.

Both Locusts and Cogs get Frags in Hail. Instead of running into the streets, turn left toward the staircase. The frags are really only a few meters from the spawn point. I'm getting tired of people thinking how horribly unbalanced Hail is. I hate Hail in general... in regards to the layout and the razorhail... but don't bash it for balance issues. It's just not there.

The idea for being able to harm someone when doing an execution wasn't to save your teammate... it was so the enemy isn't invincible. It'll make them think twice in regards to performing the execution. "Do I execute him and risk getting killed as well?"

I COMPLETELY agree with Somber Reborn that smoke grenades are not battle starters. That's all people are using it for in this game! They are supposed to allow for people to move stealthily, not to stun. If they wanted to make a grenade for that, then add concussion grenades to the list. I agree, the most stun that the smoke grenades should be allowed to do would be a quick stalling like when a teammate's mortar hits you.

Shadowjudge, I agree with everything you said. I've been going on about the same idea you have in regards to the host-choice system as well. Halo 3 really got it right with connection history.

I'm wondering why Epic made public servers for Unreal Tournament 3 and not Gears 2, which was released for the 360 only months apart. They could've allowed for the servers when a player didn't want to be ranked... as an innovation to an added option apart from either Public or Private matches... Player matches.

Really...? Epic said they won't fix an inconsistent, buggy weapon(s) that gives host-teams an unfair, clear advantage over the non-host team?

I mean, I don't care if they tone down the Shotgun, but at least make it toned down for everyone. It doesn't even work the same way for everyone in a game. Right now its useless for some players and overpowered for others. I hate to say this phrase, but its just not fair.

If I don't get some kind of confirmation pretty soon that they plan to fix this I'm just going to sell this game and buy CODWOW.
