I am one of the many who have had problems with matchmaking. The funny part is, I am noticing a problem more after the update than before.

Before the update, the one time I played, I was on a team and in action in minutes. It was smooth with no lag and my mic worked. Now it takes longer, no sound through my headset and the lag i horrible.

And as I am typing this , something else happened: It match 4 players for me and while looking for another team it removed my teammates so I'm now waiting.

Now I have read a mix of postings on this and I have seen alot about a the NAT being strict and that is true on my end. but I have 360, PS3 and Wii so I would need to port forward all three IPs which I'm not sure is possible besides that shouldn't be a problem.

On this same network, I have played both Little Big Planet, Resistance 2 and COD:WaW on my PS3 with no problem at all. Fast game start up and full voice.

I play Left 4 Dead for the 360 and again fast game start up and full voice. Even COD3, GOW 1 and Halo3 were fast as well. The only time NAT was ever an issue was with the mic. The games would always play fine I just could not talk.

My point is: There is something that can be done and it is something with GOW2. If his is a nework issue: why are all of the other games working fine and why did GOw1 work fine (minus the voice)? And why did GOW2 work fine before the update?

On the bright side, at least I played 2 games of GOW2. I have had Super Smash Brothers on the Wii and have never been able to get a game up.

you can make your NAT open for everything.

Still that's not the point. NAT or no, I should still be able to connect

That sucks man. I've noticed a huge improvement on my end though. I'm finding matches as fast as I can press the search button.

As someone who only played 2 games I don't think that you have to authority to say that the update made things worse. It made things better for me. You just got lucky with the first game that you played. If you played like 5 or 10 games before the update you would have noticed all of the problems and you would have noticed that the update helped them a little (although it didn't totally fix them, since you still have to wait a freaking long time for a match if you are alone cutting 2 min off a 10 min wait isn't a fix, and for anyone who says you should just play with your friends, I respond with, maybe I want to find some more friends and the only way to do that is to play with different people). The update didn't make things worse, but it didn't make them that much better either, the matchmaking still pisses me off, but it's tolerable for when you just want to relieve some stress and shotgun someone in the face.

I have been finding matches faster but the lag in the actual game is TERRIBLE!!!!!

It feels like I'm trying to play a game with someone from China hosting, the shots are so delayed its pathetic. This game still needs some more work before its how it should have been shipped.

It feels like they rushed this game just like UT3, or is epic becoming a bad company after the great success of UT99 and UT2k4, and the first Gears of War?

I've played countless games using MM and it's slightly faster than before, but honestly, I still get terrible connections. It's bad when your not even touching your controller and your guy is lagging around the map.
