I am one of the many who have had problems with matchmaking. The funny part is, I am noticing a problem more after the update than before.
Before the update, the one time I played, I was on a team and in action in minutes. It was smooth with no lag and my mic worked. Now it takes longer, no sound through my headset and the lag i horrible.
And as I am typing this , something else happened: It match 4 players for me and while looking for another team it removed my teammates so I'm now waiting.
Now I have read a mix of postings on this and I have seen alot about a the NAT being strict and that is true on my end. but I have 360, PS3 and Wii so I would need to port forward all three IPs which I'm not sure is possible besides that shouldn't be a problem.
On this same network, I have played both Little Big Planet, Resistance 2 and COD:WaW on my PS3 with no problem at all. Fast game start up and full voice.
I play Left 4 Dead for the 360 and again fast game start up and full voice. Even COD3, GOW 1 and Halo3 were fast as well. The only time NAT was ever an issue was with the mic. The games would always play fine I just could not talk.
My point is: There is something that can be done and it is something with GOW2. If his is a nework issue: why are all of the other games working fine and why did GOw1 work fine (minus the voice)? And why did GOW2 work fine before the update?
On the bright side, at least I played 2 games of GOW2. I have had Super Smash Brothers on the Wii and have never been able to get a game up.
