Too many people are quitting. Even my friend thinks its ok to quit out of a game, he says it has not adversly affected his stats, however I think he is wrong. People always put in a predetermined penalty for quitters. Does anyone know what quitting public matches does? I wanna tell him and make him stop quitting and start playing better.

It gives you a loss to your stats I think. I don't give a sh*t about stats so I quit whenever I feel like it.

Although i do think it is annoying when people quit that are on my team, what i find the most annoying is when the person who knows they are the host quit just so that they can ruin your win. wtf is up with that. everyone gets booted and nobody gets the points:mad:

I would be all for a more severe quitting penalty except I do sometimes disconnect, and I'm pretty sure the game can't decipher whether you quit or got disconnected.

we should get more points for staying in an unfair match, 3 or less against 5. too many host quits or the whole team quits BEFORE there is even a clear winner. You be reset to 0 or no rank for quitting, or automatically getting bad rep on Xbox Live. It just hurts the rest of us that actually play the game correctly.

Quiting does not hurt stats in fact it is how high ranks picked them up we ran test since the game came out and it helps to quit if your down thank again cliff another pointless thing in the game

it is really annoying when people quit, but i dont blame them, i assume if my connections good then the other teams is ****, thats how gears works!!! its a mess

Im quitting when my connection sucks and the bulletlag is taking over the game, probably 5 out of 10 games sometimes even more!

rank up is so difficult because if u r going to win a match the other teams starts quitting

If the other team picks a gametype I dont play like homo execution then I quit right then and there. I shouldn't have to play a gametype that I dont want to. If I want to play Warzone then I should be able to choose F UCKIN Warzone. Other than that. I play with friends who dont quit so i dont have to worry about that(except when host on other team quits!) Its not like you can really find a game without having 5 people anyway....

If the host quits and the game drops the game should give the non host team a win but no k/d stats just a win in that gametype. At least you would get something for your time.

consider the quitting a blessing! if im on a team that is owning the other team i find thats when the other team wants to start glitching! next thing you know we get a shield glitcher or the lag glitch when they run the 360 thru a firewall and your bullets don't do anything, or the invisible host glitch! lets face facts, epic does not fix glitches! they improved matchmaking, but have you ever played an epic game where something was fixed!? be honest! pop in gears1 and tell me if those glitches are fixed ha! i wish the other team would quit instead of having to try every cheat they can to come back!

I've ranked up after the host has shut the game down. I'm pretty sure that the system gives a win to the team who was winning at the time.

I never quit unless the lag is unbearable. I'm Canadian and I can play with other Canadians and people from the United States with no lag issues. But when people from the UK, EU, or even Asia are host, the game is unplayable. I'll be teleporting everywhere, my bullets won't even register as being fired, and a bunch of other issues. If I stay in, it just ruins my stats and makes me lose my rank.

You cant blame people for quitting. There is a flaw in the game. The designers ruined this game. I sometimes wonder what is more important to them the money or the game. It's painfully obvious what they were interested in when they were making this game.

they really need to adapt the halo server in which if host quits cause their a bitces and dnt want the loss, a new host is found. just because you are a bad player, you dont have to quit. there should be some type of penalty for quitting a match.

plus the new patch coming how should not give the host a greater advantage. some games the host moves unbelievably fast, for example on river one time a host took my sides torque bow before we even got to it! wtf epic

Why not make some kind of penalty with real repercussions displayed in real time. We are all guessing what happens when people quit but we don't know for sure,at least until Epic releases a guideline explaining what the penalties in question are. I personally think quitters(and cheaters) give GOW2 a bad name and should be banned from multiplayer for a predetermined amount of time.That would stop ppl from cheating and quitting 100%

Only if the game could suspend the accound of that player for 10mins if he/she were to drop the game. This would serve as some kind of punishment for that player .

Another idea is to allow a player to invite a friend into the game. But make sure it will not allow just anyone to join the game, because players would be upset joining a game that is near over and lose.

I never quit if Im loosing like other players I hate this. The reasons I quit are:

1- If I have lag, the 65% of the time I play I have lag. Sure Im going to quit. Fix this!!!:mad:
2- I quit when some players of my team quit. For example 6 vs 3 or 6 vs 2. Sure Im going to quit.:mad:

These two common reasons will make me to take GOW and throw it to the trash to play it no more. Cause the 90% of the time I play I have to quit.:mad::mad:

The whole point of it is a humiliation move, if you quit then you're just playing into their hands.

I don't even bother paying attention to it personally.

surely for the enjoyment of the game those FEW with the disconnecting broadband service should still suffer --- other wise quitters who most of the time are losing not winning -------- still suffer

I will quit (and do) every damn time I feel like it.

Here a just are the reasons why:

1. Lag
2. Bullet Lag (Shoutgun, not fixed with TU2)
3. Uneven matchups with skill and number of players
4. *Game Types (I hate everything except for Warzone and Excecution)
5. Annoying team mates
6. Team mates that do not have a mic,
7. Team mates that camp for the whole game

*Why does Epic force me to play a game type I can't stand? I love this game when I am host and or the shotgun works perfectly in Warzone and Excecution. All of those other game types are for amatures that like to use chainsaws.

Things that will increase game attendance:

1. Servers
2. Region Filter (At least seperate USA)
3. No host advantedge
4. Even Matchups

I bought the game for fun and competition not to be a standing target, and the list of xbox live gamertags above are from the last few hours i played and there is no penalty for being a raging douche, somethings gotta give and chances are ill be returning the game for ****ing hannah montana at this rate cause thats where i am at.

I have not played a game when a 5rank has not lag/standby the game!!!! It was me and my friends and we was playing one 5rank and four 4rank we won four rounds and on the fifth lag/standby And if you quite your rank gose down but if you stay you lose because they lag/standby the game!!!! that's why 5ranks have no skills at all I was a 4ranked but lost it because the host quite and that's gay that's why I play gears 1 now because gears 2 is gay and lags to much when they fix the lag that's when I will play it again!!!! sometimes the game will start and I'll be dead???? And I'm like what the hell??? lag??? epic needs to fix the lag!!! then fix the weapons so far they did updates for weapons not lag!!!?
