anyways, i was looking around, saw people making their own levels? how do you do this? do i need the PC version of GoW2?

you need windows paint, some imagination, an etch and sketch. and a license
to the unreal engine.
gears1 for pc is also handy

First off, GoW 2 Pc isn't out yet, it'll be announced at some point in the future....GoW 1 is what you're looking at for custom maps, you need the PC version of GoW 1 and install the editor as you install the game.

There are lots of tutorials available on youtube and on these forums, search around...

personally though, you think i should get gears 1 PC for level design?
or just wait for a Gears 2 PC cause level designing would enhance?

Honestly, if you get gears 1 PC , you'll have learned things that you will be able to use in gow 2 editor (if it comes with one...it really should)

ex. making cover, making cinematics using matinee in kismit, touching triggers, trigger volumes, spawning enemies, playing as a custom character...

One of the main problems in the gow 1 editor is we can't use custom weapons.... I'm hoping that'll be fixed in gow 2 PC when(if, hasn't been "confirmed" yet) we get the editor.

It would be a good idea to try out the editor on gow 1 pc....

When you are about to install gow 1 on pc, look in the lower corner for a more options button, click that then check the checkbox saying install editor...

Countless people have made that mistake, Good luck.

make sure your computer specs are sufficient to run the game and then some. because the editor is somewhat of a system hog when in use.
