Was the Seriously... glitch fixed?

I'm just wondering as a fellow gearhead because I'm thinking about going back to trying and getting it. Summer 2007 I stopped playing Gears and a few days ago I downloaded an update for it since I haven't played in a while. I have around 9,600 kills and I was thinking about going for the remaining 400 since I'm so close.

I have Gears of War 2 of course, but I'm wondering if it's worth my time at all to get the 400. I really don't want to go for another thousand afterwards when I've got the second one to work on.

maybe but annex kills, kills on the new maps and steal kill dosent count toward seriously the chance is small that you will get on 10.000th kill more truley it's that you will get it around 15000-110000

i have 21,000 on gears 1 and no seriously have a friend who got it on 4,500 no joke. i dont think its got anything to do with kill steals and such. i think its just a bug in the game know someone else got it at 6000 and someone else who has 31,000 and hasn't got it.
