Update Timelines

It seems that with all the problems, an update is most likely going to have to take place. I am personally pretty disappointed with how the game turned out, on a technical level. It just really seems like a lot of stuff was overlooked and that is a real shame because I really enjoy GOW, but it seems to never live up to its full potential. I am confident that updates will take place and lay to rest many of the concerns that the majority of players have, but my question is , if an update were to happen, what is the typical turn around time? I know that games like Team Fortress 2 had an update just a couple weeks after release that fixed many of the problems that were encountered at launch. Should we expect something prior to Christmas? To be honest, without some sort of idea as to when these issues will be resolved, I might just play something else, so that I don't get too frustrated with the game in its current state.

Last, I know that it is not very typical for developers to post in forums because it can make things difficult, but It would be really nice if Epic or a forum moderator that had some insight as to what is going on could post something to assure us that epic is indeed doing something to fix some of these issues. At this point I feel like Epic took my money and gave me a half assed attempt at playable multiplayer. I think that is kinda wrong, I am sure Epic wouldn't have accepted half assed payment for their game.

I agree, it's an awesome game, but NEVER reaches it's full potential because of lame exploits like the GoW1 Active sniper, and the GoW2 Noobsaw. And the matchmaking process is totally bunk.

im pretty sure that an update will come soon, with all this talking about what is wrong with the game epic must be panicing, and probabley working on it now. i just hope it does sort out i loved gears 1 pc and xbox, played them both from launch as well as this one. i just want the update before people stop playing it and trade it in. i know im never getting rid of it i just see a few minor things that massiveliy need to be sorted out.

well they better fix it soon or they are going to lose alot of future sales this holiday from all the bad feedback on sites like these.

Yes i agree with you im such a big gears fan and its broke my heart to see this waited so long . One of the biggest letdowns i have ever encountered..
