I have been having trouble with my disk playing in my 360 so I posted this at the Xbox.com forums and wanted to see what you thought about it here.
My disk won't play in my 360 so I took it to a friends house that has a 360 that plays the game with no problems. The first thing we noticed was that his was made in the USA and mine was made in Mexico. We thought that might be the problem but it wasn't. We used my disk that won't play in mine and tried it in his box and it works great. Then we put his game that works in his box into my box that doesn't work and his game won't work in my box. We looked at our drives and found out that his drive that does play the game is different than my drive that won't play the game. When you open your drive, look where the disk sits. His drive that does play the games is solid all the way around except for the "U" shaped opening cut in the grey base. My drive that doesn't work is not solid all the way around the grey area. It has a few holes and shapes cut into the grey base. I have one hole at about the 2:00 position and around the "U" shape there are some shapes cut around it like partial holes. I have two 360's so I went back home and looked at the drive in my other Core 360 that does play the game and the drive is the one that has the solid grey base like my friends drive. Could everyone take a look at their drives and post what they look like. Do they have the holes in the base or are they solid and which ones play the game and what ones don't?
Mine: Solid base plays the game. Holes in the base doesn't play the game.
Friends drive: Solid base plays the game.
