You got permission from the makers?

Not for all of them.
And stop asking me wether i got permission or not.
Their work is available on a public network known as the internet. They always get proper credit and readme's are included.
In some cases i get permission before the mappack is made, for other maps i haven't specifically asked
for their permission and 'just did it'.
In the unlikely event they want it removed they can always contact me through pm or email and i will do so.

I don't mean to hark, but you really should ask everyone's permission first. True, they DID release it on the interwebs, but they might want their work to only be available on specific sights or as parts of other map-packs.
Either way, thanks for taking the time to let us know, those are some great maps.

Just because its on the Internet doesn't mean you can do whatever you please with it. In case you didn't notice content on the Internet is copyrighted and as such the makers of that content own it and have a say on what is and isn't done with it.
You are frankly opening yourself to lawsuits and even if that won't happen you shouldn't take it lightly.
Of course if it says in the readme that you have permission to do so then fine you don't have to ask,but in all other cases you should ask.

As long as my read-me is in there in fine with it. As it states you can distribute it as long as that's included.

You have permission to use my stuff in a map pack. Although legally you should ask permission, I wouldn't get your panties in a wad over it! I've created a few 'packs' myself and failed to ask permission either through naivety or pure laziness, but it's always worked out. Most people are happy to have their stuff redistributed as long as credit is given where credit is due.

Here's my take on it: I never say no to people who ask to put my maps up somewhere, or use assets I've created in their own maps. The important thing is that they ASK. If not you're just going to piss me off.

You can put Infection Forest in your map pack but in the future if you do not ask you do not have permission...

One of the good things, is that most readme's says that they give permission when you include it.
You might have better released this in general, since this hasn't anything to do with the msuc( except that they are finalists)

I dont know if anyone actually reads the readmes but most, like mine, state that you may distribute though electrical media.
So no permission is required in such cases
