I cant resume saved solo mission on GOW2

This is occuring on Xbox360

I played for a couple hours earlier then needed a break to refresh my eyes....now i am trying to resume my mission and nothing happens....all the data seems to be on my hard drive....but every time i click A on my controller to select the mission i started earlier nothing happens....is this happening to anyone else...anyone know hoe to fix this???

ok after restarting about 7 times...and a couple of game freezes it finally let me load my saved mission....its so ****ing stupid how video game companies will release games that still have bugs just so they can make the release date they set....then a few weeks later they will release a patch to fix it....its happened to me on a couple of games...which is why i usually dont buy a game the first day it comes out...but come on now...its GOW2...of course i had to buy it...but still....epic games...you are a bunch of douches....i paid good money for a game that doesnt work

same for me, took about half an hour just to get the campain to start and now I can't resume it, have tried to restarting the game, the console, tried to sign out and in. nothing works, please epic patch this quick or soon people will start to returning the game(I think)

My husband and I started playing last night in a co-op mission. We got up this morning and loaded it up to play some more, our save slot shows where we stopped and its correct. But when we get to the campaign page it acts like we haven't played at all and are starting a new game. And when we hit start campaign it warns us of losing our previously saved checkpoint! So it obviously has it saved, its just not loading it! Please if anyone has any suggestions! We want to kill some stuff!!

Hmm I am not sure but try to find a way to load the game before going into new game. Also try signing out of Xbox and singing back in one at a time. Turn console off as well. Try playing while not online as well. (connected to Xbox Live) Hope this helps!

Ok we finally got it going.

We tried signing in and out, rebooted the system about 5 times, and are not online at all. We click on our save slot with our saved game, and it takes us to the campaign page, which doesn't show anything except the first chapter of the first act. We tried changing the starting point to "previous checkpoint" but it wouldn't let us highlight that.

Then my husband tried signing me out, and started a solo mission. It allowed him to load the game and then I signed in and it just popped me on as Dom. Finally we can play, I sure hope they patch this problem, cause I would hate to get half way through the game and not be able to finish!

I am having the same problem, and it also happens for online play. It won't accept my request when i press A and there is a "bonk" sound. It's really annoying. Do i just have to wait for a patch? For some reason Co-op campaign works though.

Im having the same problem also! This is really really stupid! Luckily I did not buy this game and only rented it through gamefly! But Man Id be pissed if I paid 60.00 for a non working game... and its been out for a week now and no patch?? Really really lame.. please someone send me a email when this is fixed? Im gonna go play call of duty world at war in the meantime... what a bummer.. other then this the game rocks

I saw in a similar thread turning off and then back on and trying to start campaign as fast as pos works but come on Epic thats no way to have a game. Besides I tried delelting the data off my hard-drive (had already finished campaign so no biggie) and wouldn't let me start a new one. I know there must be some people from epic who read this can you tell us are you working on this prob and when will there be a fix for it?

Here's how I fixed it. Hope it works for you. I signed out of Xbox Live, signed back in and started up the game. It worked after that.
