Thanks to Sinking Stone, I was able to fix my installer problems. UT 2004 will install now--but it won't play. It did play, once. It crashed because it didn't like how little hard drive space I had (though the amount of hard drive space, like everything else, met the listed requirements). Since then it always closes immediately after I open it, even though I have more than twenty gigs more space free now. I tried deleting and re-installing (there does not appear to be an uninstall feature) but that has not changed anything.
