View Full Version : Xbox menu solo camp. Won"t start

This seems crazy, but under SOLO CAMPAIGN, I select difficulty pressing A and nothing happens, I get no where. I am unable to start a SOLO CAMPAIGN, what am I doing wrong? Do I have to complete all of training to start the SOLO CAMPAIGN?

this is gears2 you are talking about correct? if so, i'm having the same problem! it won't select any of the difficulty modes! this includes online co-op or join co-op

is there anyone else having this problem???? I just click the a button and nothing happens on anything that would start the game, apart from training and horde. I've completed all the training as well so I know for sure that wasn't the problem.

I can't even play multiplayer FFS!!

phew got it too work, countless times signing in and out, i tried starting the game without anyone signed in and it worked, then went back to my main profile and held the a button on normal campaign solo and it worked. Hope this works for the original poster!

I am having the same problem, i put the GOW2 disc in and i just cannot start a single player campaign game or a co op game, it just clicks and then nothing happens.

is this a common bug?

Well to start a solo game i had to sign out, start the game, then sign in while it played the opening cutscene.

I had the exact same problem, I had to sign out, start a game, then sign in again. Thanks for the fix but it's unacceptable for me to fork out £45 for a game ($90!!!) and then not be able to play the damn thing!!!!!!

Bad show epic, bad show.

Finally got the solo campaign to work, was able to do it signed in, not sure what exactly did it. I powered down the xbox twice, kept trying different difficulties, pounding on the A button, holding the A button for a long time. Something worked, now I am able to start the campaign easy, loading one of the saves through the solo campaign option on the main menu. Weird, I am used to some oddities in game play, but nothing like this.
Gears of War 2 seems incredible. Glad I got the menu option to work.
