:ENTRANCE FEE: $50 per team (2 players per team)

:TOURNAMENT RULES:
~ GAMETYPE: Wingman (2 players per team)
~ Settings:
~ WINGMAN GOAL SCORE: 15
~ ROUND TIME LIMIT: 3
~ NUMBER OF BOTS: 0
~ BLEED-OUT TIME: 15
~ FRIENDLY FIRE: On
~ MAP SELECTION: Vote
~ WEAPON SPAWNING: Cycle
~ The tournament will be a ROUND ROBIN format consisting of 5 rounds as follows:
~ Rounds 1 through 3 are ELIMINATION rounds
~ Round 4 is the TIEBREAKER round
~ Round 5 is the GRAND FINALS
~ During the ELIMINATION rounds, teams will receive scoring as follows:
~ 1st Place: 8 points
~ 2nd Place: 6 points
~ 3rd Place: 4 points
~ 4th Place: 2 points
~ If 2 or more teams tie for a place during a match, each team will receive an average score of their respective placements - I.E. 2 teams tie for 2nd place, they will each receive 5 points (2nd place points plus 3rd place points divided by 2).
~ Seeding for the ELIMINATION rounds will be random, with up to 4 teams per match. However, teams that have previously played will be given different opponents during later matches as best as possible.
~ After the ELIMINATION rounds, each team's scores will be totaled. The top 2 teams will play in the GRAND FINALS. Any teams that qualify for the GRAND FINALS but have a tied score will play a preliminary game in the TIEBREAKER round. The winner of the TIEBREAKER round will move on to the GRAND FINALS. (Note: There may be more than 1 match played during the TIEBREAKER round).
~ GRAND FINALS SPECIAL SETTINGS:
~ GAMETYPE: Execution
~ TOTAL ROUNDS: 3
~ Best of 3 maps
~ All other settings remain
~ Host will be selected at random for each match.
~ Absolutely NO GLITCHING!! This includes, but is not limited to, crabwalking, weapon sliding, force mounting, etc. Any team that glitches will be IMMEDIATELY disqualified from the tournament.
~ Inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, teabagging/raping/humping, unnecessary downing, etc. Trash talking is allowed; however know when to draw the line. Excessive or discriminatory trash talking will not be tolerated. Any team that does not follow these guidelines will be IMMEDIATELY disqualified from the tournament.
~ A tournament official will be present at all times to ensure these rules are followed. All decisions are final.
~ BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER!! It is highly recommended that you bring a WIRED XBOX360 controller. Wireless controllers are allowed, however players MUST remove the batteries when not playing. Any player not following this rule may be disqualified and/or ejected from the tournament venue.
~ In the case of an equipment malfunction, the match will be restart from the beginning.
~ These rules are subject to change at anytime.

Hey y'all! My name is thesuicidefox and I'm part of King of the Couch. We are professional tournament organizers running the some of the hottest video game events in the country. On November 15th, we will be hosting our FIRST Gears of War 2 tournament.
I have been a long time Gears fan (got the game upon release and still play it everyday to this day, in fact I'm playing now) and I ALWAYS wanted to host a Gears tournament. Now we are finally making that a reality. This would be the perfect opportunity for all you Gearheads out there to come and show your skillz at our tournament. Check out our website to see events we have organized before as well as browse our media sections.
Rules are TBD, as we need to play the game first to find what works best in a competitive environment :p. A few things are certain, the games will be a 2v2 setup (possibly making use of the new Wingman gametype) and will feature simple yet familiar rules. We always make sure that the rules are fair AND fun, so you can be assured thes best of quality from King of the Couch.

UPDATE: Rules are now posted.
Few notes; First, the scoring system is designed because of the inherit flaw in the WINGMAN gametype in which a team can go over the alloted score (either by garnering mores kills or by going into overtime). To prevent teams from "point whoring" we will be using the set scoring system detailed above. Second, NO GLITCHING!!! Yes, weapon sliding is a glitch, and if you do it I will DQ you, no if's, and's, or but's. Finally, we will be using the ROUND ROBIN format rather than a BRACKET format because it allows players to get in more matches, and is more fair for the gametype used. Depending on attendance, we may increase the number of ELIMINATION rounds.
