i just got a email from my barnes and noble preorder saying they've shipped it today,
so i should have it by thursday or friday,

Ok, I had to go to three book stores to find it, but I picked it up at Barnes and Nobles - wasn't even out on the shelf yet....$14 and change with tax....its an oversized paperback looking thing.......

Time to read!

I GOT THE BOOK FEW DAYS AGO...its FRIGGING awsome..they actually use FRIGGING...finished it in a day...its not that long...its better than the halo novels not because of content but because of mood, atmosphere, and LOVE...thats a big thing in this book LOVE...i wasnt hooked to Cole until this book...Cole is such a guy, he's awsome...ill be playing cole a lot more...Marcus is not the cold hearted brute his shown as in the game..but he's more badass in the game..

better not tell spoilers...fan...must get...

i picked up a copy last night of the new novel that just came out "Gears of War: Aspho Fields" by Karen Traviss. I'm almost done with it, i havent been able to put it down.. for any gears fan worth their mettle, this is a must buy... It gives you alot of depth to the characters that we've come to love from the little we learned from the first game... plus, it's freakin hilarious..

Yes very good book. Very well written. The author must have worked very closely with the Epic staff.

Just finished the book tonight - I feel as close to the character of Carlos as I do Dom now - what a great read....I would highly recommend the book to hardcore and casual fans - it is a very good read on its own and what an Epilogue - sets up GOW 2 very well.....
